Edwardian houses 1901 to 1910? Could be a little later hard to tell. Anyone notice there are no pubs in Peverell? Apparantly the person that sold it for development put a covenant on it banning pubs. Maybe why there are so many on the plain.

If the postbox is still there you could date it roughly from that, VR would be up to 1910 GR 1910 to 1936. Trouble is you don't know how long the box has been there before pic was taken.

It was Quakers sold much of the land I believe hence the no pubs.

Records show that trams used this road between 1922 and 1941 when City Centre war damage stopped it being used ?

Well I guessed 1979 as was looking (or trying to) at the buses and cars but it was 1962 and taken from up top the Civic Centre
See the two chimney towers in background cant recall when they came down but I thought 1970's ??

Poor old Lionel was shopping at the time at Faraday Mill, a clump flew 500 yards from the falling chimneys and killed him outright, poor blighter. I worked on that job for an instant in time.

Talking of drones, I think it's about time the official ATD drone took to the skies and showed us a view with some proper context as to wtf is going on in the park and the back of the grandstand.  Maybe tomorrow, if the flight crew can be arsed, typical ATD layabouts. More interested in late Summer sunshine than fighting the wor.

The two-tone van down in the right hand corner of that pic looks about 40 yrs ahead of it’s time in comparison to the other motors.

I couldnt edit the black sections out.
Burtons would have been (later) where the shop where the horizontal blue band is on the right and Boots to left of photo  ??
The original Drake circus and C & A building would have been directly in front ?? Where the Guiness building was ??

Have I got that right ??
