| From argyle facebook account, sorry if this has already been picked up.
It is not even Advent yet, never mind Christmas, but Derek Adams’ mind is already set on the January Sales.
“Planning is in place. We have to identify players, which we have done, but it comes with players who have got clubs and it all takes time. We have obviously got players we need to move out, as well. |

| [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Plymouth Argyle's directors are yet to discuss whether they are prepared to increase the club's budget for the January transfer window. However, chairman Simon Hallett admitted he would welcome any proposals from manager Derek Adams about changes to it. Of course this all assumes DA will still be manager in January, just envisaging the scenario if Argo lose the next five games or more, or are well adrift at the bottom in a months time (both scenarios possible on current form). Five year contract and director of football, that's a big statement of faith. Interesting times. |

| Should we expect to see a big improvement with new signings in January? I don't think DA has a brilliant recruitment record.
There's certainly been a high turnover of players during his time, but of the player's he's signed who has gone on to better things? Bradley Or is even a certain starter in the current first team? Carey
Other than those, I think it's mostly been a case of making up the numbers- one lad even ended up getting relegated from the National League with Torquay!
If I was signing the cheques DA isn't the man I'd trust to spend money well.
And before anyone says he's had to shop in the football equivelant of Lidl, I'll just say Frio, Coughlan Larieu Norris Capaldi etc |

| You have Wylde down twice, bad and shocking I think just crap would cover it. Looks like the list will expand in January, when Derek the unsackable takes the obligatory trip north of the border. |

| Wouldn't agree about Wylde, him and Carey were a great partnership in their first season. It's a shame he hasn't found that form since and should be gone but he was initially a success. Other than that it's a shitload of pound land pros. |

Basing it on the fact he can't cross a ball to save his life. |

| I've gone through that list on the basis of being decent, shit or unmemorable and come to the conclusion that 2/3rds of Adams transfers have been useless. It doesn't inpsire much confidence. |

| To be fair, most people on that list have contributed something to the cause during their time here. Not a lot as far as some are concerned though.
That is a lot of players, and probably goes a long way to explain why our 'progress' has been limited. Along with the fact I'd never heard of most of them before they came here - hardly household names. |

| To be fair to Adams all of those were signed under the Brent regime where our budget was woefully weak compared to mighty clubs like Fleetwood who we have no right to be competing against financially and it remains a fact that if you pay peanuts you should only expect to get monkeys.
We should be applauding Adams for getting any players that are any good at all and then applauding some more for getting a team of such wayward and mediocre talents promoted despite the financial handicap he has endured all the way through. |

| If you intend stating facts then at least be accurate and avoid putting names on 2 or 3 times |

Basing it on the fact he can't cross a ball to save his life. Except for in his first season he scored about seven goals and assisted nearly all of Careys. Taken from poor memory but not far out I'd wager. |
