| Plymouth's and Exeter's Saltrock stores shut as Argyle supremo James Brent sells floundering chain Cornish stores saved but others close as Crew Clothing buy troubled Saltrock out of administration The Plymouth and Exeter branches of fashion chain Saltrock Surfwear have closed with staff losing their jobs after the firm, run by Plymouth Argyle supremo James Brent, went into administration and was taken over by another brand. Saltrock went into administration on Friday, August 17, 2018, and was immediately bought out by the national Crew Clothing Co Group. But five of the 30-strong chain were instantly closed with 29 staff being made redundant. The list included the stores in Plymouth’s Old Town Street and Exeter’s High Street, along with those in Bridgend, Street and Swansea. By Monday morning the Plymouth store had been emptied. | When you look at his track record in virtually every other business interest, it’s a minor miracle he hasn’t managed to steer the good ship Mayflower onto the rocks.
He’s a financial disaster in every other respect.
That 30% needs to become 0% like, yesterday. |

| To be fair it was the right decision, given the high street climate and because there were offers on the table it prevented worse issues .... The new group clearly believe they have a chance. |

He is a expert in firms going into admin so we can expect salt pebble to be formed if nikkkkk's advice is listened too. Unrelated matter when are those horrid FES/FIL logos going to be removed from the stadium where those murals are? |

Tbf it's known as rats leaving a sinking ship. I can't wait until the guy is out of my club his business record is embarrassing and I don't think that someone who leaves a string of unfinished projects and business administrations is fit and proper to be head of PAFC. We are dirtied by our accosiation with him. How long would it have been before Argyle went the same way? No amount of bluster and bullshit by the Brenty Bheys will hide his business record it should speak loud and clear to anyone who isn't blinkered by the cult in sections of the fanbase. Also tbf your mate Newell removing all the anti Brent comments from his rag of a forum skews the debate massively outside the cosy environs of Nools world a lot of people have Sussed Brent out you lot just need to accept he's history, bad history. |
