| Should Argyle be relegated from the football league...and the dust is settled... we all know who will be to blame.... but who will the actual club officals and high profile 'supporters' blame for the death of the football club?

That's easy, they'll blame the rank & file supporters. Or should that be purporters? |

Remarkable improvement in your typing there. It's almost like you have split personalities. |

Squad improvements would pay for themselves in this league. I don't know how u can say that. Think about how many we had when 4th in the Championship?? 10-12k depending on who we played? The supporters then had the same idea as yourself, throw money at it and everything will be alright. Well, we now know the result of that kind of thinking. Utter nonsense. The problem with Argyle then was they turned their back on a chance to strike out for the Premiership, the ground would have been full every week with Man u and Liverpool coming here. Stapleton wouldn't renew contracts if you care to remember, no ambition what-so-ever! That's why Holloway fell out with him and jumped ship! The Board didn't effectively re-invest the money in the team from the many millions raked in for selling their best players. They frittered away the money on hoards of average players which swelled the ranks with rubbish players, killed the gates further and brought on relegations. And worse still things became irreversible because we had a ridiculously high payroll of garbage to rid ourselves of before we could think of transfers inbound. That is mismanagement of the highest order at boardroom level. They didn't throw good money at anything just wallpapered over the cracks and that is basically why we are here, not being spendthrifts, being misers and paying the ultimate penalty for never putting quality where it matters, on the field of play!!!! We all know Argyle fans can be fickle but we also know we have great fans and a great away support and it really isn't the true fan's fault. If we go down what can they expect to charge for Argyle v Braintree, £5 maybe. What sort of attraction is that. And they may get, what 1500 out there? I mean we MUST not go down, first priority. Get free agent Buszaky back and another quality midfielder if necessary and sod the expense because if we go down it is got to absolutely be dire financially for our Club. May even turn out to be the end! No use arguing with people like Brian mate, might as well go and talk to your budgie [if you've got one]. |
