| It would have helped if they had used the right type of brick. You need a type of engineering brick, those are "commons" and useless on a horizontal plane. Commons are a cheap very porous brick and when laid like that they get waterlogged, then it freezes causing the water to swell as it turns to ice therefore blowing the face. The memorial bricks look to be paviors which are much better as seen in their general condition. The whole lot needs relaying with a decent spec of brick for the borders. Luckily someone like Back with his experience will be all over it. |

No it's not. While some of the bricks are in memoriam, I can assure you that many people paid good money for a brick simply to have their names there. They / we were alive at the time, and they / we are mostly still alive now. |

No it's not. While some of the bricks are in memoriam, I can assure you that many people paid good money for a brick simply to have their names there. They / we were alive at the time, and they / we are mostly still alive now. That’s correct as I have a brick there. |
