DEREK Adams’ wanderlust is taking Argyle to new places.

The Gaffer has secured a friendly for his Pilgrims side in Germany, as Argyle will take on SV Schermbeck.

The game, on Tuesday, July 24, will come during Argyle’s third annual trip to a Ducth training centre in Delden. Argyle will cross the border and travel around an hour to Schermbeck, in the Rhine-Westphalia area of Germany. Schermbeck is a town, about the size of Tavistock, not too far from cities like Dortmund, Essen and Duisberg.

SV Schermbeck are a German sports club from with many interests. The group play football, swimming, water polo, handball, table tennis, athletics and badminton.

Their football team are currently in the Westfalenliga 1, which is the sixth tier of German football. In 2015, SV Schermbeck were promoted after a 3-0 victory in the decider against Westfalia Wickede to go up to the Oberliga Westfalen, but the year after they were relegated again.

In the 2017-18 season they finished 2nd to FC Gievenbeck, missing out on the top spot by 14 points.

The match between the two sides will be played at Volksbank Arena Schermbeck with a local kick-off time of 6:30pm, which is 5:30pm English time.

Admission to the match is €4 for all. Dortmund and Dusseldorf airports are within 100km of where the game is being held.

Appears to be another PSF at Taunton Town on the 24th July.

its embarrassing just how poor our pre season games are. If this is team is as good as it gets for us what is the point f this trip away they may aswell have a week at butlins for all the good it will do.

I added Sawyer to the list.
looking at the squad as it currently stands alot of the YTS are going to be mainly used in the reserves and that semi pro league until they impress Del enough to break into the first team match day plans. So IMO we still need before the window closes (besides brent actually investing in the team rather than his pipe dreams that seems to be stalling some what)

Another Right Back as one isn't enough especially with Riley's injury record.
Another Left Back Same reasons barr Riley's injury record.
Another Central Defender regardless if Songo'o signs or not.
Another Winger while getting rid of either Ainsworth or Wylde preferably both to bring him in.
Another Central Midfielder *depending on whether Fox stays or not. Im 90% confident he is off but if a miracle happens and he stays then we are ok there as songo'o can play there too.

4-5 to still come in and no doubt at least 2 of them will be loans there is still time to find them for del.

Might be worth Del hiring a fitness coach given the injury proneness of some.
