Three men are putting together a heavy metal frame for the control room where the old disable stand use to sit. Small concrete pillars are built against the old wall and concrete footing. SWH for PCC are going to resurface Blunts Lane and into the entrance where the ice rink will be.

And this is the way Argyle prune trees. I wonder in the Friends Of Central Park will report it or are they still in Brents pocket
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] pruning more like smashing the granny out of em! Plus is that the sexy fence that they spent all that nice Liverpool money on is it |

| ^^^ This is where they have broken the planning conditions. They have to discharge all 10 conditions before they can erect anything control rooms, bogs, anything |

Agreed utterly clueless but at the same time this project manager Jon Back would be the geezer whose neck is on the block. Paul Duncan friend of mine said PCC had 13 complaints all up. |

This was JLs post "For those who are keeping an eye on the Grandstand redevelopment, a new document can be seen on PCC’s planning portal. In it, the Council’s Drainage Engineer indicates that he has not authorised the discharge of planning condition 19, which specifically relates to surface water drainage. His comments suggest that more work - and delays - may be necessary before his approval can be granted on the redevelopment phase of the project. All pre-commencement conditions need to be discharged before starting work on the Grandstand itself. All the other conditions appear to have been satisfied, but the surface drainage plan potentially involves the greatest cost and the most detailed engineering requirements. Until this is resolved, it’s unlikely that much more can be done." Followed up with............... " Back to the point, six months after the initial planning permission was given, why is it taking so long to discharge these conditions? Given that we’ve been told recently that the schedule is very tight indeed, with suggestions of there being unavoidably awkward moments during the process, wouldn’t it be preferable to discharge the planning conditions as soon as possible?

| Me and Bees have mentioned the drainage issues I was told by a mate of mine in the council a couple of days ago. I'm presuming and Bees could probably confirm is that all the runoff from the site, which become your problem to deal with once you develop a site, is to be directed down towards the pond/marsh at the bottom of Barn Park. All the drains down there have been fooked for years and always erupt when we have a lot of rain which is not unknown. I've had to wade through two foot of water more than once to get out that way. I'm guessing Brent will have to lay drains all through the park, could be a scary bill. The big story here and always has been, no matter how many people Porky bans for saying it is that this wouldn't have happened without Brent's ridiculous contiguous planning application, none of this relates to the refurb and was totally avoidable as we pointed out at the time. Brent's incompetence never ceases to amaze me. |

Brent's incompetence never ceases to amaze me. Since he pulled the emergency parachute routine at Citibank the useless individual has lurched from one catastrophe to another. How the hell have we got this lamebrain attempting a refurbishment of a grandstand when his own website has been under development for 5 years

very good seadog Thing is now Reg its now become quite feasible that the countdown (up) clock could well go to 365+ days The chancer is caught between a rock and a hard place. Sort the drainage out which will be £100,000's + obviously because feck all is being built till you do The geezer has knocked down structures on a time schedule that even he admits is tight and we're now in complete no mans lands |

| Wonder if he's reconsidering having a majority share in the club to pay for said drains. Be interesting to see what Silent Si would do if he had more of a say, might get something done or there might be fighting in the boardroom over the mankover |

| Every other 'development' brent has been involved in has turned to complete rat shit and so it seems this one has inevitably gone the same way. Good! Now f*** off brent and let a proper owner take over. |

| Also it's very amusing at how they are now claiming all kinds of pathetic rubbish about derailing etc, when the truth is it was done on the back of a fag packet from day 1, the latest example being illustrated today.
Move along nothing to see here.
