| That's how many players each side ended up with yesterday and both managers were sent off too.
Sounds like the ref was a tosser. |

| Doesnt surprise me at all. I still play for a side in North Devon albeit a bit lower down the ladder then these 2 sides but the amount of abuse the officials get from grown men is unbelievable.
Without the officals there would be no game. |

Sounds like the ref was a tosser. Could be that the players and managers were tossers and the ref did what he had to in order to deal with tosser behaviour |

| More than likely homie, lower league football has it's fair share of neanderthals. |

You should see the amount of twonks screaming 'foul throw' even though a third of the left foot is on the ground. Only seems to happen in non league Every game |

| Sounds like something went off it only takes a bit of history with all the testosterone flying around. I've watched Tavi quite a bit earlier this season they have been going real well for a while now. There's a good spirit at the club from top to bottom like Punchy says there is a lot of abuse of officials but that is the league not the club. With the fans being on top of the pitch I think the abuse gets heard more than in a big stadium. Anyway at a fiver to get in and a good atmosphere it's way better value than Argyle and the football is pretty entertaining. |

Oh they do. I was playing West Devon Sunday league many moons ago as a fresh-faced 16 yr old. Up against blokes literally twice my age and twice my size. I still have the scars from being butchered a few times and even back then a lot of the time the refs were intimidated so much that they did fook all about it. |

| I played in the west Devon Sunday league, and we had some rather dubious characters shall we say. We ended with one game at Trefusis with four of our team sent off plus the manager. The referee ? ......... Mickey Rooney ! Says it all. Lol |

Had an interesting game against Albemarle at Staddiscombe one sunday morning, had to escort the ref off after the match or I think he'd have been dead meat-you could get pissed standing in between their two centre halves, maybe one or two had taken substances of a different nature the night before as well. The ref was bricking it and his missus was worse but we managed to get him back to the changing room and eventually to his car unscathed. Saw a Gunnislake player get sent off at Bere Alston once in a local derby and he drove his car on the pitch chasing after the referee, lol! Funniest one though was when Bere Alston were playing a Plymouth team one afternoon. The opposition centre forward broke through and rounded the BA keeper but at a slight angle, meaning he was a bit off balance and could only roll the ball towards goal. A local character by the name of Happy Bond was standing right by the goal post and seeing the ball rolling slowly towards the line decided to do his own bit of defending by coming on the pitch and wellying the ball 50 yards over the far touchline! There was serious hell on and Happy had to taken back to his home tout suite-I think there's a rule now where a goal could be given but not then, it was no goal. These incidents were from the 1960's and 1980's ,so a bit of spice in local football is nothing new. |

| I've seen fights between parents in the youth matches more than once. My boy played for Tavi thistles when he was between about 10 and 15years old. Some of the parents were shameful trying to relive their own failed school sporting careers via the next generation. The pressure they put on the kids was terrible and some of the barracking was the worst I've heard at any match even more so when it's directed at their own flesh and blood. |

| Apparently the ref sent someone off early on for a relatively mild foul. From that point to be consistent he kept on sending players off... The managers obviously weren't happy and went too. |
