| Hopefully the penny has dropped with Adams and he doesn't try to shut up shop too deep too early. |

| I notice that since we scored the second we've gone from 64% possession to nearly fifty fifty. Let's hope it's just them having a go for a minute for all that they haven't had many shots. |

| Brilliant result and we played very well.
Reuben's inclusion was a bit strange especially when he was on trial at Oldham only a few weeks ago and seems to be out the door but he played some good balls and shoed he could be a very useful player should he stay. If i were to be picky i would say our inability to defend against pacey wingers is still a big problem certainly against better sides. But today a christmas miracle as seen 4 goals at home, over 10000 in attendance and we are out of the bottom 4. you cant ask for more than that from today. |

| Top stuff from Argyle today, well merited win. Recalls for Lameiras and Threkeld today-odd decision re the former, believe he was training with Oldham awhile back, maybe they rejected him and Del bhey thought he may have point to prove. Whatever,he did ok [certainly has an eye for a pass] but mom as voted by the sponsors......purleeese. Only one man for that IMHO and that was the incomparable Carey-superb lob with the outside of the left foot for the second goal, exquisite free kick for Edwards headed third goal and gave the left back twisted blood at times in a free role in the first half. Only downside was conceding a goal from a corner for the second week running but the timing of the third goal made that an irrelevance and Jervis scored from a Taylor flick on within a minute of coming on as sub-defender was very lucky, he nearly took the shirt off Jake's back as he went through, lenient bit of refereeing. Tounami opened the scoring to further emphasise his value to the club-just sign him on FFS.
All in all a very encouraging afternoon.I think the plain truth about the Argyle revival in recent times is that they now have players in the team who are good enough to be more than competitive at the level-it really is very noticeable how important Taylor is in the Sims/Evans type target man role, thought he was excellent today and results since Tounami's arrival speak for themselves.Surely the lesson of this will be noted at higher levels within the club...............

| Weirdly with 3 in the middle and 2 massive centre halves, Argyle were so slow and prosperous that Oldham never really looked out the game. They had a lot of the ball. However by the same token Carey always looked like creating something, even if he is so isolated at times that he gets desperate. |

| First time I had seen Lameiras. He isnt an Adams player so a strange signing. He has a good touch and looked quick enough. A bit lightweight and wasnt exactly involved. Not a shocking or even a bad performance, but if he had the same performance 5 games in a row you could say he achieved fook all. |

| Fair play to the Oldham fans. 300 odd and not quiet throughout. Argyle crowd muted for much of it. Demport end is just full of really rough chavs. |
