There were some lovely words about the club from a 'fan' published in the i newspaper this morning too. Apparently Fleetwood will have to wade through the 'piles of litter and vermin that infest Home Park these days' if they want to make progress in the game.

I've seen supertankers turn faster than our defence ... and have more speed.
I searched under all the seats but could not find our midfield anywhere.
I can only remember one instance when we strung together 3 passes and that was a neat little triangle in our half .. before losing possession.
We lumped it ... we humped it (I am allowed to say that?) ... but we never fumped it towards their goalie.
How much do we pay Carey?

So what action would you suggest? Sack Adams presumably because that would appear to be the only possible course of action given that no attached players can be signed until January. But then the REAL action should have taken place last summer. Remember last summer? That was when every man and his dog on here were warning of the consequences of making a bunch of cheapskate signings comprised mainly of players who had either previously failed at this level or who couldn't get into teams in the division below Argyle.

I went. Then again I nearly always do.

Nothing much to say really. We're rigidly welded to 4-5-1 to the extent that when Threlkeld went off at HT Sawyer went to RB and Double-Barelled came on at LB.

There was barely a chance in the game. Fleetwood went through the middle, easy as you like, but Edwards (?) got back to make a last ditch goal line clearance in the 1st half.

In the second half a gaping hole opened up and Fleetwood went right through to score. 1-0. Nothing Letheren (who looked pretty solid) could do about it.

From which point it was all over. Our defence disappeared again and their left wing did a Thierry Henri job right at the end. 2-0. No time left. All over.

Except it wasn't. Carey slung a cross in, the boy Fletcher got on the end of it and glanced in as easy as you like. A proper striker's goal. And that was it.

It was all horribly flat. Everybody (crowd, ball boys, players, magement, board) knows we are doomed.

We're not even close.

I suppose the question is where do we go from here?

We have a couple of glaring problems: no pace anywhere being one and no presence in central midfield being another.

Ness and Sarcevic together just does not work.

And no RB obviously.

Make Songo'o captain. At least he cares. At least he does his job. He wins shit loads of ball and usually finds one of ours afterwards. That'll do for me.

I'm honestly at a loss as to what Sarcevic and Ness bring as a unit. Neither defends and neither attacks. It's lke having two Andy Sintons in the team: they tuck in and play shape and... well that's it.
