| Well, even Pasoti posters are not happy with these plans. It's quite clear what Brent is up to, profit for himself, and then up and away with his pockets full , leaving degraded parkland. |

Reply from a Conservative Ward councillor for Peverell Unlike the previous plans, none of this proposal is on any bit of the park. Higher Home park car park is privately owned as is the vet and kennel site, all of which are in a scruffy state. This proposal is a lot more acceptable than the previous proposal which did receive planning permission and could have happened. No cinema screens and the much needed ice rink. I presume you know that Home Park and Argyle were in existence before the park was thought of, it was farmland until in the 1920's. I am sure Blunts Lane could be restored as a condition of the development, and at least the stadium and surrounding areas will be brought up to the standard of the Life Centre, which had exceeded all usage expectations, the building of which I think the FOCP opposed! I shall be interested in the traffic management plans, but at least the Segrave Rd/Outland Rd junction will be unaltered, we have had enough of major road works. |

More shabby tacky shite tacked on to the Mankover of the Grandstand, Brents pathetic scheme must be resisted at all cost, i'm sure only a handful of locals want any of this shite overlooking Cental park its designed to make Jimmy and Si richer that is the main aim of this not to benefit Argyle whatsoever. There is a strong concensus of what you say on ATD but thousands don't see it or get it. Opposition to this Turd of a plan will grow aka, its so bad i dont think any of it will happen, perhaps the Community Bro's will then move off onto other opportunities. We will see Suffers, am waiting to see what Green Jim comes up with next given he made a commitment to 'renovate' the stand by 2020 in time for the tourist driven Mayflower celebrations. |

Brent is buying it. ''Brent is also buying a separate piece of run-down land, subject to contract, opposite the Life Centre and next to where the Elm Veterinary clinic is located.' Read more at [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

I've just checked Al, and it looks like it's privately owned. It also comes under the "life centre and social area" parcel in forward planning terms. |

Wholly unimpressed with him on several meetings to do with the park. FOCP also say it's on private land. If he thinks the stadium is going to be brought up to the life centre standard, then he has learned nothing from the Oldway Manor fiasco and cherry picking. Brent has no intention whatsoever of completing his fanciful stadium corners. He might as well have included a plan to build a new civic centre and railway line from London. |

| Just like the people of Exeter who want an upgraded bus station they're going to get hotels, gyms office space, commercial outlets you name it and a space for a few buses. Developers and greedy councils are blighting every city and town in this country. And a new clusterfuck being built down at Bretonside madness fecking madness. |

| I'm just thinking now. Wasn't the Elm Cottage vet's place at one time owned by that Argyle youth trust organisation that have only just been paid back ? If so, then who actually bought it off them in order for them to make their £300K ? You out there BBC1 ? You'll obviously know. |

| Here's an excerpt from argyle history on GOS - Quote :
- Like many Argyle youngsters, Kevin Hodges benefited from living at Elm Cottage – the apprentices hostel adjacent to the ground run by George Robertson and his wife June. This had been purchased for £20,000 in 1976, with refurbishment costing another £10,000. George and June provided homely accommodation for a number of residents and visiting youngsters, and it was seen as a short-sighted step to sell the hostel in 1986
The emboldened quote says it all about the club, throughout it's history. Now it is to be used for an individual property man's personal profit. It used to belong to the Spooner family ( remember them ? ), so going back to the same sort it would seem. |

| This is what I posted a little earlier on freechat but having seen the Councillors response to TGWU above perhaps its not the case......."This has got the potential to turn into Comedy Gold if PCC take an adverse stance to the geezer (and bear in mind some councillors still have nightmares over getting into bed with him before) and the whole project gets red carded.......I suspect Brent is going to have an uncomfortable fans forum this weekend without his chief minder standing over him" (who is on holiday apparently) |

| Errington headlines
Supporters' bars have been increased in size as part of refinements to the plans for the redeveloped and expanded grandstand at Home Park
Brent believes the biggest change is to the provision of supporters' bars.
We are going to start building the supporters' bars, the retail shop, player changing rooms and media centre before we start doing the banqueting/conferencing part.
He said: "We are planning two bars on two floors. The floor space is bigger but it also on two levels.
We are going from one cafe (life Centre ) and a refreshments kiosk at Golf Hut. To a total of six restaurants, a 107-room hotel and a café. plus FOCP new cafe. Do you think the park will be over loaded? Posters on here were saying the FOCP cafe was not needed because it only dog walkers in the park. |

You out there BBC1 ? You'll obviously know. The hostel that was sold was in a different part of Plymouth. (Houndiscombe Road?) Not too sure on the History of other buildings owned by the Trust. Sorry about that. |

| Just seen plans for the first time. Speechless, well nearly, on what an un-be-lievable disastrous pile of steaming horse shit Brent is proposing here? Total insanity. How one single fan(apart from Doris his pig and space commander De-Wank) could glean anything positive from this is beyond belief. I was in a shit mood because I have to work all weekend - but looking at these plans have cheered me up no-end. Not a chance in fookin hell (unless brown envelopes are awash in the council planners meeting) will this ever be approved. |

I don't think it will, Pat, delay after delay, excuse after excuse. Smoke, mirrors and total obfuscation from Jim-Bob. Of course - I'm basing my assumption on Brent's previous magnificent developments and their stratospheric rise from the ground upwards, not! |

| Although it pains me to loose grass and trees it is private land as is the HHP site, PCC are keen to get him to build the ice rink so the Boulevard can go ahead - a boulevard that has a 4 lane road running across it, stand bye for road 'shrinkage'. They'll take section 106 (if it's called that) money and be content. Whether Jim can extract enough premium from the six units/gym/hotel from some mug operator to build the whole caboodle and pay for a lop sided ice rink is another matter, it would be like British land needing the Bretonside development to pay for a grandstand or an ice rink which 'might' make rents a tad expensive. |
