If that's what Wing Commander De Lar has done, he may well have just killed pasoti off completely, because once the punters over there realise he's pulled the wool over their eyes, the exodus could see that vile site having its life support withdrawn. |

| Having viewed the plans I think it is a commendable attempt to upgrade, rather than refurbish, an existing Grandstand and commensurate facilities. Clearly it is a two stage development with stage one bringing the capacity to just under the 18,000 mark minus segregation. Given the original phase 2 brought it up to just under 19,000 I think most will be content. Stage 2 looks as though it takes the capacity to around 21,000 without prejudicing any additional add on capacity to the rest of the 'horseshoe'
On the face of it the CGIs indicate that the quirky character of the original in maintained which will please the traditionalists. We have a two tier or even three tier Grandstand which will satisfy most who dislike the post Taylor identikit stadia That means only a slight roof extension over the new corporate seating and not over the lower level. It is unclear whether stage 2 will significantly address this deficiency if at all which is disappointing. It looks as though the pillars at the upper level will remain whatever. That means the Grandstand will have three levels of seating quality which no doubt will be reflected in differential pricing.
The decision to concentrate on enhancing the hospitality experience rather than on structural issues is the right one if revenues are to be driven up and greater sustainability achieved. In addition to the large corporate dining area there is a separate members/players bar and the retained members Far Post Club. The accessibility of these facilities for those who sit in the rest of the 'horseshoe' needs to be clarified if we are not going to end up with a two tier standard of facility.
It will be strange to see players come out of the Barn Park/ Grandstand corner but it does free up,more corporate space. However, the most inspired touch is to have the club shop accessed through the iconic turnstiles and the relocation of the ticket office alongside is a welcome addition.
Overall it is all a big step forward in the form of stage 1 and a respectful attempt within the available means to retain the character and quirkiness of the Leitch (jnr) original and provide the requisite improved level of facilities. The big question, though, will be when will stage 2 be implemented? |

| So allowing for segragation never less than 1000 at Brents theatre of schemes we'll have a capacity of around 16,900 for the forseeable future feck off Brent... |

| There definitely needs to be a pic of just 'phase 1' completed as this WILL be the finished article. Everyone knows there will be no mythical 'phase 2'. With just 'phase 1' it will look shit. A woefully undersized stand with uncovered seating and a weed garden and water butt on one side and waste land on the other. A future proper owner will have no qualms demolishing it an replacing it with a proper stand.
BRENT OUT NOW |

BRENT OUT NOW Its complete and utter shit and the mortgage to Hallet, over the next thirty years will be a millstone around the clubs neck. |

| This is now the second time that Brent has set out plans for the Grandstand. Last time, nothing happened. Lets see if he can improve on that this time. I'm not holding my breath. |

| At the moment the main Grandstand's back row is S. Therefore 19 rows. There are approximately 160 seats across the width. This adds up to over 3000 seats. Take out the exit steps, press box and directors box and you're left with something like 2,500. Yet the stage two (top tier) on display is only 10 rows deep and 190 seats wide. Postey claims it will hold 2,900. Something's not right here but then with the character's involved it shouldn't come as a surprise. |

| What I have posted elsewhere
"The concensus in the main is this design and pie in the sky phase 2 (appearing out of nowhere at 10am yesterday) and delivered deliberately to fool the Argyle public into thinking that the entire lot was on offer for £5 million (it did me coming out of Morrisons thinking thats half decent indeed) is quite simply crap.....not one photo available of what it will look like 12 months from now without all the rest of the designs.....this effort has to go out to public consultation I believe....... Brent will claim the WG was that public consultation of that little doubt but its up to us to solicit PCC over planning and throw it out......its all about Brent and his back pocket...... You had fans on here yesterday genuinely believing that corporate add on income would fund players.....this carbuncle is hashed up to serve Brent and Hallett and certainly not the supporters.....I would urge people to kick it out.....remember you're paying for this for 30 years and phase 2 will never happen nailed on." |

| From the Grumpy Loyal on the farm a member for 14 years who may have log in problems shortly......
"Right, I'm sorry to bring a dose of realism to those who were duped (myself included) into thinking the £5m rebuild would bring capacity to around 20k.
But we, the fans have yet again been mugged off.
If ANYONE can point me to a quote from Brent about 'Stage1 and Stage2' prior to these plans being released, I'd be grateful. But I'm damn sure you won't find any.
If Postie, who is as Greentinted as they come can only realistically see a 17,400 capacity, then that's the MAXIMUM we are getting folks - a 4,800 capacity stand when added to the 12,600 horseshoe.
4,800 IS SMALLER THAN THE LYNDHURST STAND OPPOSITE - FACT.
Pathetic.
And please don't quote these laughably mythical Stage2 fantasy plans. They are a red herring of the highest order and I would put my mortgage on them never in a million years happening. They have been popped in to try and appease your average Janner into thinking Stage2 has an actual plan, funding and timescale in terms of genuine actions rather than words. I'd go as far as saying this is pretty disingenuous by the club.
No wonder Brent was desperate for such secrecy with the Working Party etc.
.............................
De Liar lost for words in a response only mentioning capacity |

| With no mention of stage two during the lead up to this development,....it does seem rather naughty to include it in the plans on display.....would that mean that PAFC feel it looks better with the corners filled in and hope that the fans would be gullible enough to accept it, even though stage two hasn't been costed and possibly only get built in the future if we start to regularly fill the ground.....not an honest approach and even some on goody good pasoti are complaining. |
