We'll be leaving mid morning on Saturday and staying at a hotel about an hour or so from Liverpool, completing the journey on Sunday morning.
I expect us to lose, and lose badly. It could be a very sombre drive back to God's county on Sunday afternoon. To be fair, 9 is a bit young to learn to drive though mate Safe trip. will look out for you up there! |

- The FA Cup has lost it's appeal for me ever since the big teams started playing their reserves and kids. Little different to that new format paint thing. The gap has never been so big. Turns the logic of men against boys on it's head.
Hope everyone enjoys the Anfield experience though. Like a theme park weekend for many. Those money people that wanted the club to move to Stanley Park were mad. Drive carefully. That's where I am with it. It would be the quarter-finals these days before it seemed exciting. Blame the big clubs for cheapening it, particularly Man Yoo for dropping out some years back. |

| Don't think the coaches are leaving early enough, hope I'm wrong and those travelling aren't left disappointed. |

- BBC seem to think that Liverpool are going to be putting out their stiffs, which I suppose might give us a tiny chance if those players aren't particularly up for it. If it was the first team you could pretty much guarentee a 5v0 walloping.
Trying to think when was the last time a League 2 team knocked out a top flight team in the FA cup? I think Oxford knocked out Swansea last year, so it does happen, but not against 'champions league' level clubs. Bradford famously beat Chelsea a couple of years ago, but they were in League 1 at the time.
Gap between top and bottom in the league is greater than ever. I'm probably being a romantic but if I see the Liverpool team with loads of foreign names I don't recognise then I think we may have an outside chance. They will field a side like they did against Exeter, one mainly main up with developmental players and one or two first team players needing to build up match fitness. They dont need to play their strongest 11 to wallop this Argyle side. The best we can hope for is a lucky goal and McCormick doesnt pick the ball out of his net too many times. |

| All Argyle can do tomorrow is enjoy the game, the experience and try to do their best. If they put in a good shift against whatever Liverpool side they are up against, then good for them.

| Anything can happen in a two horse race. I just wish the top team would put out their top team and have done with all this modern baby stuff. It just isn't cup football else. I don't have to speak as a manager or some pampered star, just someone who used to like the idea of cup football that crosses border of talent and style. In fact, bring back a few muddy pitches, you bunch of carpet dwellers. |

I trust they will put up a fight and go down with dignity rather than be star struck, happy to be there and get dicked. |

I just read one of the Herald articles on the match and they are saying that the Liverpool side (whatever that is) will be under more pressure than Argyle. Playing in front of 50,000 will be just as intense for them as Argyle. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |
