Tickets for our game against Colchester are cheaper in advance TeamDerek Adams, Plymouth Argyle don't need 20-goal striker to get promoted. Derek Adams has, once again, hailed the share of goals within his team as the key to their success so far this season. The Pilgrims have found the net 24 times in League Two in 2016/17 and have done so through the efforts of no fewer than 10 players. I think the share of goals is vital, Reuben Reid had two years where he scored 20 goals and the club didn't get out of the division. So having a 20-goal striker doesn't guarantee you promotion which is what we want this season. Derek on the transfer marketGoing into the season, having worked in Scotland for many years, the system was in place there in the top flight,” he said. “We weren’t allowed to take in loan players; you’ve got to have your squad ready at the start of the season, have cover in different areas of the team, and go for nearly four months without being able to take in players. I think it’s beneficial for the league and for the clubs because it gives a wee bit of stability. We will use the January market when it comes along. We’ve got eight or nine weeks until it opens. We’re assessing things at this moment in time. We can look at players, but clubs aren’t sure what they are doing. We have an idea of what we want to try and do, but we’ve got a very good squad, so I don’t see it being dramatic. It will be something we might just tinker with (Info and quotes taken from various websites) |

| COLCHESTER United John McGreal is adamant his side can trouble League Two pacesetters Plymouth Argyle.
The Pilgrims are four points clear at the top of the table and unbeaten in the league since August.
In contrast, the out-of-sorts U’s are without a win in seven matches, since their home victory against Blackpool in early September.
However, McGreal sees no reason why his side cannot bounce back tomorrow and inflict a rare defeat on Derek Adams’ title-chasers.
“Plymouth have done exceptionally well,” said the club’s head coach.
“We’ve had them watched and they’re going to be a really tough team.
“They’re going to be buoyant and so are their fans.
“I know they’re top of the table but we’re going there to win and we’ve got to go there with confidence.
“We had the same situation the other week, at Doncaster.
“We went there and were the better team, nearly catching them cold but without being able to get the win.
“Over the last seven games we’ve been so close.
“I’m learning as I go as a manager, but as a player I went through dips like this before.
“You’ve just got to keep believing, stay positive and keep doing the things we’ve done right.
“We’ve got to keep creating chances and try and tighten up at the back.”
McGreal admits this season has been a “rollercoaster” of emotions, with his side making a strong start before petering off in recent weeks.
However, he believes there is little between the sides at the top and bottom of League Two.
“It’s been a rollercoaster of emotions in our 14 games,” he said.
“But I’ve been buoyed by what I’ve seen in the division so far.
“The teams at the top are strong, like Plymouth, Carlisle and Doncaster.
“But the teams at the bottom are of a really good standard, too, with good philosophies, as you see every week.
“On their day, teams can cause problems for the top sides.”
Dunne and O'Donoghue make Plymouth trip
The U's face Plymouth Argyle this weekend, with Louis Dunne and Michael O'Donoghue making the trip.
Both youngsters impressed in Monday's comeback win at Watford for the U23s and will be hoping for match action at Home Park on Saturday.
O'Donoghue showed up well against a talented Hornets' attack, whilst Dunne scored in what was his first match action after an ankle injury.
Macauley Bonne also scored against Harry Kewell's side, as he gets back in the swing of things following his loan spell at Lincoln City.
There are no new injury worries for John McGreal but he will still be without the likes of Doug Loft, Tom Lapslie, Brennan Dickenson and Lewis Kinsella for the game in the South West.
U's:from Walker, Bransgrove, Doyley, O'Donoghue, Wynter, Eastman, Prosser, Brindley, Vincent-Young, Slater, Kamara, Guthrie, Szmodics, Wright, sembie-Ferris, Dunne, Fosu, Bonne, Porter, Johnstone. |

| Terrible 'performance' by the sound of it. If we carry on like this our days in in the top 3 are definately numbered |

| Three points is three points and still top of the league by four points.
If someone had said to me back in early August that Argyle would be top of League Two and on 35 points after 15 games, I would have took that pleasingly.

| Bit of a nothing game really, surprisingly flat for a top of the table team. Can't remember their keeper being tested that much throughout,Luke had a couple of decent saves to make [their bloke missed an absolute sitter in the first half too]but even stevens until Spencer clattered the ref resulting in his being stretchered off after a long delay.Hope he's ok,his absence seemed to affect Colchester more than Argyle and a poor backpass followed by an equally poor attempted clearance led to Donaldson charging it down and a rebound into the empty goal.To be fair, the earlier goals were very good, great pass from Carey to set up Tanner and a good free kick after some careless Argyle defending but they were out of character to the rest of the game. Uninspirational but still a vital win. |

| Best team won on the day, to be fair Colchester gave it a good go to get a result. Looking at the comments today, you could be forgiven for believing we had lost and we're near the bottom of the league. ffs. BRENT OUT ADAMS IN! |

The fourth division happy clappers will lap up any amount of shite, but what happens when the luck runs out? You've got to laugh at those who are playing at Billy Big Bollocks now that Argyle are top of this shitehole of a division. There are at least two of the tossers with very short memories regularly posting on here, lording it over supporters of other clubs and fellow posters. |

But then, some people have very short memories... |
