| What a load of fuss about sod all! All anybody has to do is press #4 on their remote to keep watching. One of the best bits of this turmoil is the outrage from the Daily Mail: "the BBC should have kept the programme" etc. This is the same Daily Mail that hates the BBC and would have been screaming that the Beeb had spent enough money to employ hundreds of nurses if they had agreed the £25m fee. But perhaps best of all is C4 (also publicly funded by the way) having bid £25m to pinch the programme only to see Mel and Sue bugger off immediately. Effectively they have paid an outrageous amount of money for a big tent with GBBO above the door. If Mary Berry and that bloke leave too it'll be absolutely hilarious. Most worryingly of all is that I know all of this and have never seen an episode all the way through; in fact I have only ever watched about 2 hours of GBBO in total since it started. |

| Which is about 1 hour 59 minutes more than me.
I don't see the attraction to be honest. A load of middle class rubbish.
But then again, I do like Nigella.......I might start watching if she turns up. |

| I've never watched it, watching a show about baking cakes does not interest me. If it were the Great Big Bastard Off- a show about fat bastards eating lots of cakes it might appeal to me more- I could even be a contestant! |

| I don't see how a show in a tent about baking cakes is so bloody popular. Or Masterchef come to that.
Watching the two presenters on that eating with their mouths open is enough to put me off my fish and chips. |

Bake off rises to the occasion......England football doesn't. Indeed. Should have seen the light years ago. The penny dropped with quite a bang thanks to Iceland. |

Whereas the alternative view might be that they can't afford £25m due to the massive amounts paid out to senior management. The cronyism and corruption at the Beeb is finally being sorted. |
