| [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Vicious, cynical probing by the Herald's team of crack investigative journalist has squeezed Brent until his pips squeaked. Eventually he cracked and gave us these quotes: On Hallet: "Simon has put some money in but that was only a small part of it. It was bringing in that fresh challenge, and Simon is really challenging, which is helpful." On the debt: "After five years, we have paid off the debt, we have got the football team in a better place. Everything is running very smoothly. You could almost say 'we are feeling a bit comfortable now'." On Americans: "We didn't go and look for an American investor. Simon found us as a Plymouth College old boy and lifelong fan. But the fact he understands how Americans think is very helpful to us on that. On "soccer" in the US: ""The popularity of football – or soccer as they call it in America – is growing at a staggering rate." Relax everybody. There's not even the hint of a cloud on the horizon. |

Relax everybody. There's not even the hint of a cloud on the horizon. You can see the influence Hallett has had already. I am sure this revelation shocked Brent to his core. I wonder if the Americans have their own sport called "Football"? |

| Incredibly it hasn't been posted on pasoti yet as irrefutable evidence of how lucky we are that we have such an astute businessman as "JB" at the helm. |

| Is the football team really in a better place?
We're still in the same division as we were when he took over with two failed play off campaigns. |

Relax everybody. There's not even the hint of a cloud on the horizon. You've almost paid off all the Debt James. If you'd like to make the final repayment to the old trust earlier than the 30th September than that would be absolutely bleddy marvelous |

| Simon bought a 29.2% share for £500,000 - the trust were asked to stump up £400,000 (I think) for NO share.................. |

| 'Everything is running very smoothly'. Words that convey absolutely no ambition whatsoever. |

That was defining moment really. From that point onwards it was obvious that club and fans were never going to be close. I suppose had AFT acquired even one share then it would have had access to the club's full accounts... On reflection that was never going happen, was it? |
