Two small holes have been dug in my garden (lawn), they are about 1.5 inches in diameter and about 2.5 inches deep and about 3 feet apart. Any budding gardeners have any idea what's causing it, could it be the start of a wasp nest or something?

Maybe some wasps are thinking about putting up a rotary clothes dryer?

That's OK as long as they do the washing!

It is either foxes or you have a disused mine shaft under your house / garden and its all about to disappear!

Could be Tony Hooper trying to spy on you with a periscope?
He's tunneled under your garden.

I'm learning sign language, that said, I have just seen an ant going in there with a pick and shovel!

Rouge space moles, assimilated by the Borg.
Del, set phasers to stun.

Fuss about nothing. A couple of holes!? I read in the news that there were 4,000 holes found in Blackburn, Lancashire. That's enough to fill the Albert Hall, I'm told!

I was a bit bothered about it being a wasp nest so I started reading up about it when I came across this little beauty that flies at 40mph, is about an inch and a half long and if it sees you will attack. It's the most dangerous animal in Japan killing over 7 people every year, worldwide is kills over 40 people every year with a sting that's over a quarter of an inch long! FOOK THAT!
