Argyle fans its fair to say deserve to see attacking football at home park for their hard earned twenty two quid, not the negative dross Adams serves up.
. The football under Adams last season was pretty much the same as that under Sheridan-some good games, some indifferent ones and some plain awful ones, which actually was a considerable improvement on what went on for the previous 5 seasons [including the last two in the CCC]. You can't have it both ways as far as the signing of people like Spencer or the rest of them is concerned. It's fairly obvious that this season Adams has had to spread the jam a bit thinner because of the restriction on incoming loanees-no parent club to fund a considerable amount of the players wages this time around -and it was also obvious towards the end of last season, when at times Argyle couldn't even put a full complement of subs on the bench, that the squad was not strong enough in numbers. Adams has had to deal with that conundrum and it appears that he isn't making too bad a fist of it. If the style of play also reflects the fact that Argyle are not exactly paying top whack to bring players of great quality to the club then so be it-Sturrock forged a record breaking season based on 1-0 wins and if it gets Argyle out of this graveyard then also so be it, Doubt if too many would complain about the entertainment factor, they sure weren't in 2002. |

Good post G, In 2002 we had real quality in frio cocko evans philips etc, so the football was both winning and good to watch! i appreciate Adams has a shit budget under the Brentmare and winning is the main thing but he seems to me to have no plan b when thing go wrong, but if he gets the club promoted working for these clowns he will have done a brilliant job. |

Brilliant post, "every points a prisoner" as Luggy would say. I think we need to factor in the post January slump as all our players start hunting for better money with the key focus on avoiding injury all thanks to our revolutionary plan of giving them one contracts on shit money. |

| A late goal seals it for Argyle then, three points is three points.
Up to third in the table. |

| By far the best team lost again. Sounds like Cheltenham should have walloped us. The moment we come up against a team with a slightly competent striker we're f****d.

| crap game to watch nothing really happen worth talking about weather played a big part inthat.
The team is still learning how to blend but its come along nicely. Songogo is growing into his new role very nicely. do wish carey passed more rather than go for glory all the time to players in better positions. same gos for badwillie.
Fox and the new guy paul-arnold changed our game for the better when they came on although paul-arnold style of play will get him booked alot but he looks the part.
1-0 win is very welcome for sitting in the cold and wet all afternoon.

BRENT OUT But they didn't wallop us, we took our chance they didn't, granted their guy hit a good shot which hit the upright, unlucky but thats football. I'm sure the Cheltenham players and fans will return home feeling they've been mugged, but again that's football. Three points in the bag, it's a good stat to Uh have at any time of the season, five wins on the trot. GARY JOHNSON THE BEST MANAGER ARGYLE NEVER HAD. |

We'll be completely outplayed again relying on desperate defending, Luke putting in a shift, but mostly the thing that's saved us the most this season -shit opposition 'forwards' completely unable to score from three feet out. And all in the pissing rain.
Glad I'm not going
BRENT OUT but you never go anyway. No Argo fan should go while brent is owner

| We created the best chances and scored one, they didn't hurt us. Should've done with the post rattler, but didn't.
I'll admit it was dire for the first hour but that lad Arnie changed the game and ultimately that's what won us the points. Cheltenham were a decent, well organised and motivated outfit but the better team won. |

I see you've joined the ''lets pick one player each season and give them grief'' brigade. My CUFC supporting mate reckons Jimmy was offered a contract but turned it down. Hardly a reject. |

| A wins a win just need to grind out results while Adams works his best team out. Wouldn't be surprised to see Luton Pompey and Argyle fill the top 3 comes seasons end such is this dog shit league |

Chatting to friends the other weekend, that is what they were saying. Fair way to go yet, but those three finishing in the top three is worth a bet. |
