Argyle Green Taverners, We'd like to invite all away fans to our Fans fest before the Plymouth Argyle v Cheltenham Town match on Saturday 3rd September. We'll look forward to seeing you all here [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Question Can you provide some indication of what the entertainment is, please? Reply We have a local singer providing upbeat tunes that will certainly create a great atmosphere to start the afternoon. We also have a talk from a local DJ as well as a few words from our Chairman. We offer a venue for like-minded and friendly football fans to socialise before the game. Cheers, GTs Argyle NewsClubs are now not allowed to sign players, on permanent or loan deals, from another club until the transfer window is re-opened in January. Until then, clubs have to make do with that they have. The only exemption would be the acquisition of someone who was already a free agent at the end of August. “I think it’s a very good ruling,” said Derek. “It helps managers, and the league as a whole. It makes it more professional. I’ve been used to it in Scotland for many years, working from transfer window to transfer window. “It will mean that we will still have a look in the January transfer window. We only have two loans in at this moment in time – that might change come January. (Argyle media) DEREK ADAMS is relishing the selection dilemma he faces ahead of Plymouth Argyle's game against Cheltenham Town at Home Park on Saturday (3pm). The Pilgrims secured a third successive win in League Two when they beat Blackpool 1-0 at Bloomfield Road last weekend. Adams then made seven team changes for the EFL Trophy tie against Newport County on Tuesday and Argyle turned on the style as they came out on top 4-1. Jordan Slew and Craig Tanner were two of the players who came into the side and got among the goals. Adams admitted he faced some selection posers for the visit of Cheltenham after the impressive display by the much-changed side against Newport. (Herald) |

| We all know 100% it'll be yet another dog shit 'performance'. We'll be completely outplayed again relying on desperate defending, Luke putting in a shift, but mostly the thing that's saved us the most this season -shit opposition 'forwards' completely unable to score from three feet out. And all in the pissing rain.
Glad I'm not going

| What happen to the fan fest? no pint and pasty for a £5, cannot sell out like they use to. £2 to get in, advertising on away teams web sites to increase numbers and brings out their big guns to try to increase Brent flock of sheep. They are still advertising on the farm this morning.[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| I'd better make comment on here, seeing as I've been banned from posting on the main discussion board elsewhere (the end is nigh, but watch the fireworks!) The weather will indeed put off a few people from venturing out this afternoon. The Mrs left early this morning for a trip to Birmingham and a dog show, so i'm left with the kids to entertain. We would have normally gone to Argyle, but the last game that my darling Emma went to was the Dagenham and Redbridge game. Strangely enough she doesn't want to to home park this afternoon! Truro are at Home to East Thurrock Utd and it is non league day, but the weather really is shit and i'm still suffering slightly from the food poisoning from Tuesday night at St Austell. And so it's going to be an indoor day, watching some of the sport on tv and playing a few board games with the kids.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] jeez..could it get any worse Maybe they are finally getting it too! Just do away with the entertainment bit and have it as the supporters bar, showing football on the tv screens, no need to charge, no need for so many tables, somewhere to go for a drink and a chat before, and after the game. |

And I am amazed you have survived for so long. I've not received any official notification from them. Not surprised really. But I noticed that there was no quote function when I was looking on my mobile at the main discussion. I have the mobile number of the site owner and so I asked if he'd heard anything. I was told that my last bit of poking had done the trick and that I was now restricted to all the other forums only. Nice of them to notify me, not even in the restricted users board at the bottom of the site. I'm obviously going to go to the Q&A at Bodmin on Tuesday, and I believe the site manager is going to be there too, so we can have a chat (just like at Leyton Orient I guess). And yet last weekend, when I was being called a Troll by one of the Mods, and he wanted to kick me off, the same Mod sent me a friend request on Facebook. And they say i'm the snidey phucker! The 2 meetings at Home Park, 10th and 24th September, unfortunately fall at the wrong time for me. I've had The Little Orchard Cider and Music Festival and Looe Music Festival lined up since the start of the year! But I know so many other posters on Freechat and on here that i'm sure when i'm kicked off PASOTI for good, the fallout will be a spectacular one. Now where's my mobile phone...i'm sure I've got even bigger fish at HP on there... |

You still off the pop? Remarkable. I did 48 hours this week. Certainly am mate. Day 193. and would be feeling good for it if it wasn't for that dodgy pasty from St Austell the other evening! Rumblings of food poisoning still ongoing, despite me taking stuff for it. And yes, the final repayment is due at the end of the month. We've sadly had to chance for the repayments over the past few years, despite the repayment dates of 31st March, 30th June, 30th September and 31st December being know 'and put into cashflows- there's nothing to worry about'. It's the stress and strain that has been put on my health and that of my family, and in a way it's fitting that the end game is being played out at this time. Getting my priorities right and giving up tin pot message boards full of nasty, devious, scheming people will be THE blessing and the boost my health needs. But they will learn that it was better to have me as a friend than a foe! |
