| The dive into the bargain bucket is back on again Plymouth Argyle boss eyes more signings after poor start
Plymouth Argyle boss Derek Adams says he wants to sign more players after Saturday's loss at Carlisle.
Argyle have been beaten in both of their League Two matches so far.
The Pilgrims, who were beaten play-off finalists, last scored a goal in the League Two play-off semi-final in May.
"That's been the main area we've tried to look to during pre-season and we'll continue to do that," Adams said when asked about bringing more pace and width to his side.
Despite bringing in 14 players during the summer, Adams feels he has still not properly replaced Gregg Wylde, who left the Pilgrims for Millwall.
He told BBC Radio Devon: "We've only had one player last year that had pace and we lost him to a League One side, so this year we've still got (Graham) Carey, (Jake) Jervis and (Jordan) Slew who've got good pace in the team.
"We have added and we'll probably add to that before the transfer window finishes." |

| Thought he was, given Derek will be out there with his bargain bucket at the ready, he might be interested in a return for Barry. Won't matter if he's a bit old and not so fit, should fit in well. |

| Clinton Morrison is at redditch but I doubt we'd be able to compete with the wages they offer. |

| Is Tynan still taxi-ing? If he's available I'm sure he could out run Miller. |

| If players come in late in the transfer window, does that mean people will start saying "Well, we'll only know where we really are after 20-25 games" rather than the 10-15 currently mooted.
How many more players will Brent allow Adams to sign? Not bloody many, I reckon. If Argyle were in relegation trouble come January then Brent may splash some cash as his income would be under threat. Until then, don't hold your breath... |

They wouldn't have lost Wylde to a league one side if they'd have offered new contracts in January. Who does Adams think he's kidding? I keep hearing about his attention to detail. What a myth that seems. |
