| I paid £9 a game with my paper round in the 90s to watch Argyle in the Lyndy as a youth...
And what is the point in attracting kids if all you are going to do is instantaneously unattract them by quadrupling the price once they turn 18? They'll soon lose the habit of going once it is their own money they're spending. |

- I think we're all into any attempts whatsover to increase the fun at Home Park. But that flies against closing Blck 17 for a few quid, and I do have concern with the organised nature of it and the Cameron Youth type thing. I see bristol City have now got a Forza thing.
They need a decent job, not a flag to wave. Unfortunately thats a cost cutting exercise to save money on Police attendance . The more that turn up the better the atmosphere . Don't worry though those of us who do attend will keep the club going and you can come back when things get better . Its your free choice of course . No. It was a drastic desperate action of a man (Ridsdale) looking to save every penny possible because we were in grave danger of going out of business.
THAT SITUATION NO LONGER EXISTS.
It is now penny-pinching at the expense of fans wishes and ground atmosphere.
Still, we've got a big flag. Your not in favour of a sensible budget at PAFC then ? So, you infer that opening the closed blocks blows the budget out of the water, yeah? GG, sometimes try looking at the facts instead of blindly following the party line. You can look foolish, you know. |

| Absolutely Mock. All this concession thing has got out of hand in football, and was the noughties martketing crock of gold, until now, u10s get in for nothing, and then proceed to grump, kick the seats in front of them, while they complain and plug their radio into their ear. adults are told to sit down and not disturb the little darlings. IT DOESN'T WORK. Just listen to every teenager on Pasoti who approves of the Argyle prices charged, until they, themselves, grow up and have to pay full price and pay it out of their OWN money. They soon stop going. |

| I don't think JB and The Board in the Demport End is a good idea at all.
Firstly, as has already been pointed out, if the performance and result doesn't go our way today, there will be the inevitable input from the knuckle draggers and meat heads.
More widely though, at some point in the future it will all go horribly wrong. It's part of the cyclicle nature of small clubs. I'm not saying this season, or next, but maybe a few years down the line there will be a relegation, or the selling of a popular and valuable player, or much, much worse, a situation like we have been through last year. If there is too much "closeness" with the Board and owner, then it will feel like turning on a family member or close friend. This isn't right. I like the fact that the Board are sat in the Directors box, away from the rank and file fans so that when things do go wrong, that element of seperation is there so the awkward questions can be asked.
It's like the Captain of a ship not regularly eating and socialising with his crew. The element of seperation is maintained so that difficult decisions can be taken without emotion clouding judgement.
Reaching out to the fans and engaging with us is commendable and should be encouraged, but done in the proper manner with elected fans representatives doing our bidding. This is happening and is a good thing. (The method of how it's being done with the make up of the GAS Board is not what I'm on about here. That's a seperate discussion).
It's a reason that I, as a fan, could never take a position within the club, such as on the Board or some sort of honourary role. At some point it will go wrong, and I would feel part of that failure. It would break my heart.
So, engage with the fans at Board level? Yes, absolutely. But do it in a well structured method so that we don't become too "pally". |

Seconded, one of the posts of the year IMHO. I was never in favour of Stapes and co sitting with the fans at away matches when Argyle were climbing the leagues,it was obvious that when the winning streak stopped and the mixing of directors and fans stopped with it,questions would be asked about why this should be.I agree, directors should be a bit aloof from the fans-seldom the twain should meet. |

| The Captain analogy is vivid in view of recent events, he should be up top guiding the rescue effort not in the lifeboat with the customers. _______________________________________ COYG!

Forza Verde my arse ! Its ok, Fletcher wins 1 game out of roughly every 6 games....give him a break!!!! That statement is rather inaccurate actually.Fletcher has won 6 out of 17,which in my book equates to just under 1 win in 3.Not spectacular but better than 0 in 9,i would surmise. |
