So it does get worse, an owner with no ambition, a sixty year old rusting stand, a manager trying to cobble a squad together with a limited budget, and now a fecking red blob on a otherwise acceptable strip.

Well said moist, exeterrrrrrr is the heart of Devon whereas we are the heart of the westcountry.

When people ask me where I come from I say southwest England.

As an aside (without looking her up), has anyóne on here heard of Rosamunde Pilcher?

Well known authoress, I think (not sure though) she's a Cornish maid

Not as big a deal as she is in Germany. My missus had a great deal to do with the filming of one episode at a big house near Grampound she was looking after. They must have churned out dozens of episodes for the German audience that can't get enough of it. I guess it's all a romantic view of English country life.

She's big over here with a certain age group. Very Happy Very Happy

They love to look at the scenery etc and have visited or plan to visit D&C. There is a mini tourist industry built around the TV series.

They'd best hurry before we pull up the drawbridge, barbed wire the coastal paths and landmine the beaches.
