| The whole Manchester thing was down to their golden generation that grew up with the club. Ferguson was a very lucky bully to have them. Things started to head South after he fell out with Beckham. It wasn't the Ferguson era, it was the Bex/Neville/Butt/Giggs/Scoles era. A fine example of a REAL team spirit allied to 2 or 3 world class players. |

Captain and scored the winner in injury time as well, first SFA cup win for Hibs since 1902 apparently. I thought they won it when Williamson was in charge, must have been the league cup. I think that was Kilmarnock he won it with. Thats right he did however take Hibs to the league cup final but lost.
Dane,
quick question for you how can man utd fans get all giddy about Jose coming in when all the things they moaned about LVG being to negative, boring football, not playing attacking football etc is what Jose is well known for despite his success? Thing is the LVG period was so bad i think United now need the quick fix that Jose will bring. Players will sign for him. Its a little bit of a myth that Jose plays negative football, one of his chelsea teams won the league scoring a record amount of goals one season, there is a difference between being a negative manager (Tony pulis) and being able to identify when a game needs closing out ( Jose ) The lack of investment in youth is what worry 's me most, but i think he will adapt- at Chelsea he was bigger than the club, no-one is bigger than united. |

you must be a retard! You obviously didn't have a golden generation at Cullompton. Or anywhere else for that matter. Takes a while for the unskilled to work out their level, and move on. Talk is cheap. I laughed when Fergy took on the Irish boys. He soon curled up into a ball then. |

Pep is just as bad Very true but jose isnt a manager you could plan long term with especially as he doesnt plan for the future with signings or youth players. I just dont thing the united will warm to him as Chelsea ones did no matter what he brings to the club success wise which im sure he will do so. |
