| You have to wonder if this chucked together squad have the character to get results when it gets down to the nitty gritty last few games? they should have cruised to the win today instead of hanging on. |

| Next 4 games.................... the acid test.
Just wish someone really interested in football would pay off the reluctant one and take the club forward. Can't see it happening though, especially if we do go up.Think it will have to get worse before it gets better. |

| Yep, the next 4 are huge and will determine if we're the real deal or pretenders. All aboard the pasty |

| looking at the bbc website we are currently third and have a game in hand over oxford. We are also only two points behind oxford which makes the table look a bit better for us but only time will tell. |

| 6 points on the bounce. Can't be bad. We're certainly a holiday club this season. That's 15 from 15, with 3 of 5 games away from home. Almost a club first I would think. |

| There were some early warning signs today about what was to come, York looked quite good moving forward and created the best of the early chances, Allessandra [who got a very warm reception from the crowd on his return to HP] had a shot deflected just wide. Argyle gradually got into the game but oddly enough the first goal came from what seemed to be a mishit clearance from McCormick which led to an excellent move and cross from the left which eventually was converted by the impressive Matt. The next two goals probably explained more than anything why York have shipped 70 odd goals this season, a clumsy challenge which led to a Reid-converted penalty and a rather well taken OG from one of the York defenders after a Carey free kick. I suppose you expected Argyle to run up a few more in the second half but it didn't turn out that way, to their credit York stuck at it and scored with a good long range shot, both teams had chances, Jervis and Carey missed good ones for Argyle before York got a penalty converted by Luke Summerfield to ensure a tense last few minutes-Argyle hit the bar and there was an almighty scramble at the other end from which their number 10 appeared to sustain a bad injury which extended injury time even further. Job done in the end, never gave much credence to the pre match "improve the goal difference" stuff although it could be argued that the opportunity was there at HT-don't know if It was complacency on Argyle's part or a good come back from the opposition, a mixture I suspect. Actually agreed with the choice of Matt as MOM-very impressive as target man and a goal and assist as well. |
