The Crystal Palace midfielder was on loan with the Pilgrims from August to November before returning to Selhurst Park to aid their first-team at Premier League level.
It was confirmed last week that he would spend the rest of the season back on loan at Argyle, but fan Hilton is not getting ahead of himself.
Asked about Boateng’s return, his daughter Chloe Cornwell said: “I was happy that we got Hiram Boateng back in.
But dad Craig was keen to remind his daughter of the importance of the whole team.
“But one player does not make a team.
“It’s a team effort, it’s not all about one player.
“He’s got seven loanees in so he’s going to have leave two out.
“It’s tough to say which one should be left out because they all offer different qualities.
“Maybe we need to drop Tanner for the odd game.
Hilton said that he was not worried about Argyle breaking back into the top three promotion spots in League Two with York City visiting Home Park today.
“I’m feeling pretty confident. I think it will be 2-0 to us,” he said.
“All we’ve got to do is score more goals than Bristol and we’ll finish above them.
“We’re not going to finish first but I reckon we can finish second or third.”
