Will be standing as an independant for the GAS Board. Pledges to set up ST Group after the elections.
No doubt has the ear of the anti-Trust brigade Big time. Tony Cholwell will be Ian Newell's answer to the democratically elected trust. They both share the same platform in that sense. |

That is a brilliant idea greenie for us fans that are concerned at the representative nature of the Gas board. Now that is something ATD could get behind... big time. I attended one of those Pasoti car park demos, and it was hopeless. No more than a sycophantic silent acceptance of anything given to them... just like the takeover in reality. |

| So who's going to start a POTD group? They could have a chequered flags and go into battle with Tony's group (they would naturally have plain green flags). This might be a lot more entertaining than the actual match, going on recent performances. |

Latest nibble at the Trust is that some of names for Trust election leave him underwhelmed whilst T Hooper and others for the gas board are much more interesting |

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Talking of sharing platforms. There is absolutely no way President Webb should have anything to do with any of the electioneering whatsoever! Host the hustings? Are you joking? He has practicaly already endorsed one of the candidates! He should be keeping his lips sealed. He along with Brent are the only two figures we know who will have a future role to play with anyone who is elected to the GasB. It is imperative that both of them have no role whatsoever in the process of electing the candidates who will represent the fans! |

| According to IJN on pasoti, (NOW EDITED) what he posted earlier has now been removed relating to the GT's and GAS board(quote below has been edited to match)- "Not all! There is an ex poster who swears they are under the employ of a certain Riddler! They are all working. Ery hard on a special and massive project, soon to be announced!! Perhaps the few that knock them, will start to hold their heads in shame, although I doubt they will. Once again, Mark' Gary and Bill Bob, we salute you!" | I doubt that the GAS board elections will take place before time has run out to make any meaningful difference this season.
That is if the GAS board will be able to make any meaningful difference any time in the future. |

That is if the GAS board will be able to make any meaningful difference any time in the future. I agree, loads of hot air and personal positioning. Unlikely to be anything more than a talking shop, unrepresentative and powerless. |

| Totally fed up with all of this. Why can't this football club just concentrate on doing what actually matters - winning football matches.
There can never be totally representative fan engagement, the mess that's already being created is proof of that.
Or is it just a diversion to keep the plebs occupied whilst absolutely nothing is done to build the team? |

Don't think so dear boy. I try to apply realism to my forecasts. If I had to call this season based upon the playing/coaching staff as it is now, I'd say it's 50/50. Not great odds considering what is at stake but much better than the inevitability of failure after the outclassed Staplewallet and co, backed by Pasoti to the hilt, had refused to sell up or look for investment and shipped out the best squad/manager we've had since the Waiters era, for personal gain. Now that was obvious. |

Now that was obvious. Not quite true Trin....I had two trips to the States to look for investment - met the very same Brad Rangell that Riddler tried to court and a major entertainment corporation - ok I failed to entice them but it is not true that we did not seek outside investment. Mr Rangell of Citibank! Small old world sometimes. Damon, were you still on the board when the offer from the London consortium was turned down? Hope you don't mind me asking. |

| The way I saw it was that the club was always going to need owners with cash backed ambition on the football side at Championship level. The club does have latent support potential but it has never been tapped into, like at Norwich, Southampton, Ipswich and others, because we have never , ever, been there. It looked to me that Stapleton and co wanted to keep fingers in the pie rather than being the 'run by fans for fans' people they claimed to be. When we were first promoted with gates of 16k was the time the club could have been marketed as a bargain, waiting to happen, city club.
They got greedy. The £ signs were in their eyes. They didn't want to leave and didn't really even want to share............ until it was far too late.
Then they somehow managed to suck the Japs in with accounts blooming after selling our soul and future. The big time Charlies then were invited into town to foolishly gamble with the club.

| Greenskin - yes I was on board when the 'London' consortium made their offer - and Trin although some Board members remained constant it is worth remembering that the Board make up changed several times: Peter and Michael were on the Board that took us into the Championship - Tony and I bought in when they left. Then Nick left in December 06 and I left in July 07. Phill left when the Japs arrived. |

I'm aware of that Damon. The 'constants' and their supporters, like Pasoti, were the problem in my estimation. All water under the bridge now. Hopefully with PJ involved, the same mistakes will not be made again, if we ever get out of this mess, with the Pasoti control freak mentality holding sway. |

| Meanwhile, this GAS board now consist of Gordon Sparks, Pasoti season ticket holders and the Trust.
Who have I missed out? |

I think they're just trying to decide whether to follow the Saudi or North Korean electoral model. |
