Although the list of his songs I love is extensive this one was always my favourite during my yoof in the early 70's.

Mods, I started a separate thread for this because I thought placing it in the RIP thread would've been a bit inappropriate.

Great thread Asti, i love so many Bowie tracks, but if i have to pick one its "Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars" never tire of hearing that and i must be up to the 1000 listen by now!

Personally, I was not a great a fan of Bowie's music, but I loved the culture he helped spawn, including the gender bending that Midge Ure talked of this morning on the radio.
My elder brother was a cross dresser all of his life, and gloriously so, and Bowie pushed it to mass acceptance, well, in most places other than Plymouth.
Heroes was a great song though. Still play it these days, despite my liking for a more folk orientated lilt .
