...and we've still got Wheeler, got to be worth over a million of anybodies money. Shame Argyle didn't come in with a genuine offer instead of trying to sneak him away for nothing, they could have had a quality player there.
Got to love the way Wheels went public on the whole shadey deal, City legend! Hi Sturtz good to see an intelligent Greek round these parts we don't get many. Brent would have trousered the money and you know it. Feckless wanker would waste any money we get he's about as competent as Benny from Crossroads. You lot must love Brent, at this rate well be playing each other for ever. It's always good see you lot whoring young lads about though, boy for sale. |

| Sold another boy! Tom Nichols, nice to see that there are clubs that aren't just out to rip other clubs off, good money too and a local boy moves up the ladder.
But enough about our youth development, how much did you get for the Boateng boy? |

Does make you think with all this money raised from player sales where the money is actually going as it doesnt seem to be going into the transfer pot or going towards building that carbon copy stand as thats for free. |

But enough about our youth development, how much did you get for the Boateng boy? The grimes money hasn't done too much for the team other than stopping you begging for more money from the PFA and signing Eddie Grant or whatever he's called (I'm assuming most of the money is going into the redeveloping the Away stand? and Tagg/ Perryman/ Tisdale bonues?). From the limited games I've seen of Exeter, Moore-Taylor and Watkins could go for good money also? |

harley was more than handy against us in november but exeter have already cashed in on him once i think They got jack shit for him, but they did loan him back for the rest of the season during which time they got promoted so he ended up not making a single appearance for them. Grimes himself has made the grand total of 4 appearances for Swansea. To be fair Exeter have carved themselves a niche as a lower league Southampton, getting clubs to vastly overpay for their talented but lightweight youngsters however its done feck all good for them where it really counts, the league table. We were told by our Greek friends on here last season that with the "Grimes Money", the world was at their feet and 12 months later they are 13th in League 2. |

| Yes we were on our uppers and the grimes money did get us out of the sh*t in that respect. PFA loans and all that. We don't have a sugar daddy so I would expect the money to be drip fed to the club team over a period of time, no hefty outlays on the likes of Taribo West for us! We have made money on Liverpool and the Nichols sale and personally would like City to spend it on ground development and the youth development policy which is making us a fair amount of cash. We're of a different mindset to most clubs in that we realise that we can only spend what we have and sometimes surviving in the future is more important than immediate success. Certainly wouldn't like the club to fall into the hands of Kagami, or that ilk. Having said that our squad is pretty good at the moment and we are moving in the right direction teamwise. If the extra money can protect our youngsters from being snaffled by the big boys then that is improvement in itself, who'd have thought that Wheeler could be kept whilst under the covetous gaze of mighty Plymouth Argyle for instance? Moore Taylor, Wheeler , Tillson, Watkins could all go on to bigger things but if the money made can be used to improve their wages and keep them in Exeter then that is progress for us. Best of luck v Mansfield as they are one of the clubs we are chasing, however I fear you're in for yet another miserable home defeat! |

I remember Lord Tisdale mentioned where the money was going a while ago and it was quite an eye opener. https://www.argyletd.com/t6222-can-t-believe-you-boys-have-missed-the-chanceI also read on Exeweb they pay Taggy and Perryman £42,000 a year to lease the centre-spot. I never understood why they need a DoF when they have had the same manager for almost 10 years. |

Not like you Sturtz, wishing the filth well, Shirley we need them Gargs to drop points at every stage irrespective, Stockley's goals will keep us well in the race for that seventh spot, what we need is for the chasing pack to knock the Green Slime down to fourth, the Stags may not be likely to do it but they can certainly help by getting at least a draw. |

Nice drag up Huge but you seemed to have missed that a fair bit of that leeching has gone now. Tisdale took a pay cut, not enough but welcome, the paid Chairman has gone and Tagg has taken a cut while now doing a combined Sporting Director and CEO job. The OTR thing, the Centre Spot, is a bit of a bugbear but the club effectively pays the mortgage on the building which is owned by a pack of the festering suits, it's not a bad deal, it just wrankles. Two years on from that rant we are in a far better position in every respect, less cash going on suits, best part of £100k a year, the OG finally sorted, at least on paper, a far better squad, plenty of money in the bank and some strong revenue streams over the next two years from sales. |

Utter c0ck, Perryman has never sought a management job, he is in Exeter because it is a nice place and he loves being able to mess about with City and nick a few quid to bump his pension. |

He did say when joined in 2003 until that view changed a few years later obviously he was only there until he was offered a managerial role due to his record in Japan. Given he had none offered resulted in him learning to love Exeter and bumping up his pension pot i guess. If the day ever comes when he leaves city im sure brent will snap him up. |

| The truth is Exeters youth policy produces players Argyle's dont. Exeters squad is not made up of loan players Argyles is, Exeter has a proper working successful Trust, the AFT just do handouts. Exeter most likely will build a new Grandstand, Argyle have james Brent as owner...sad times. |

| Send that Purrington kid back to his home town, if he'd stayed in Exeter he'd have been an international by now. Not too late Ben, all is forgiven! |

True Pal. League table doesn't lie though does it? Same for Exeter same for Argyle, same for Leicester. |

I like him but he needloaned him out to Truro, Dorchesters to play first team football and he isnt getting hat here barr a cameo here and there. Does his contract end in the summer? Quick Tisdale, get him a pre contract! Seriously though, he was a highly promising first teamer at 17 but has gradually faded away to a third choice defender? Pretty sure we'd have given him a start but then loaned him out to Truro or Dorchester or somewhere for a season and then introduced him gradually to the first team. We need a young left back, be very glad to see the lad back in a place where he might get the care and attention he needs, bring him home Tis! |
