| Argyle to Partner With Stem ARGYLE, along with Plymouth Pavillions, have signed up with Stem Group, with the technology experts becoming Appointed Technology Partner on a five-year Agreement. The partnership with Plymouth Argyle Football Club and Plymouth Pavilions will see Stem Group leverage its extensive experience and knowledge by providing both venues with an updated Cloud IT system, Unified Communications solution and high-speed WiFi. The “Official Technology Partner” status was awarded to Stem Group following the successful completion of an extensive tender process. The tender process enabled Stem Group to demonstrate its ability to effectively meet the unique needs and requirements of both the Club and the Pavilions – within a specified timeframe. The Cloud IT system will be provided using Stem’s very own Cloud hosting platform. This platform enables organisations of all sizes to securely run their entire IT Infrastructure from the Cloud while freeing up resources, improving performance and lowering costs. Plymouth Argyle Football Club and Plymouth Pavilions will join businesses such as WPS Insurance and Burts Chips in taking advantage of the industry-leading Cloud solution offered by Stem Group. Additionally, the Unified Communications solution will be provided using Mitel’s Cloud offering. This solution eliminates the need to buy costly hardware and servers and instead allows businesses to subscribe to flexible payments and terms, as no long-term commitments or large capital expenditures are required. The partnership will also see Stem Group install a new visitor WiFi system at Plymouth Pavilions to enhance the experience of both staff and visitors. A new WiFi system will also be implemented in parts of Plymouth Argyle Football Club for use by hospitality, media and ticket scanning. Stem will also provide a high speed 100mbit internet connectivity for use by Plymouth Argyle Football Club. The partnership will also involve Stem Group becoming a Pilgrim Partner of Plymouth Argyle Football Club and a Preferential Member at Plymouth Pavilions. Stem will also provide technology to upgrade other parts of Plymouth Argyle Football Club and Plymouth Pavilions infrastructure. James Arscott, Stem Group Managing Director, said: "We are delighted to be the appointed technology partner to Plymouth Argyle Football Club and Plymouth Pavilions. We’re looking forward to working with both the club and the Pavilions to update and enhance their IT infrastructure across both venues; we hope these changes will positively affect the experience of their staff and visitors for many years to come.” Argyle Chief Executive Martyn Starnes said: "IT functionality has been a problem at the Club for some time with ageing systems that have been beyond their useful life. After a lengthy period of assessment, in collaboration with our friends at Plymouth Pavilions, we have been able to identify cost effective solutions to our technology issues with Stem's Cloud and Unified Communications services. We are really pleased to welcome Stem as our official technology partner and look forward to a long and mutually beneficial business relationship.” Gavin Marshall, Plymouth Pavilions General Manager said: "Stem Group and Plymouth Pavilions have worked successfully together for many years, and we are delighted to recognise Stem as our official technology partners. We are really looking forward to enhancing our IT infrastructure in the coming months, with a new Cloud based system, new computer hardware for all our staff, and enhanced wifi for our customers. | STRENGTH in depth for Argyle this season has been there in abundance for manager Derek Adams, which is thanks to a little bit more than simply squad rotation. Despite missing three key players in their trip to York City on Saturday, the Greens put in one of their most impressive displays of the season in a 2-1 victory, with Derek's side once again thriving when forced to shuffle his pack. "It was excellent," said Adams. "Over the 90 minutes, we could've scored more goals, but the main thing we're there for is to get the three points. "We had a terrific following at York. They had to stand for 90 minutes in the rain, but they gave us a fantastic vocal support. "People have got to remember that we've played without the likes of [Carl] McHugh, [Gary] Sawyer and Graham Carey in games this season. We've missed Jake Jervis. So we've got a good squad where people can come in and out. [Gregg] Wylde's been out of the team, [Craig] Tanner as well. From that point of view, I like the players that I've got in the squad and their attitudes. "They're all ready to get that opportunity - and when they get that opportunity, they're there to try and keep the people that have been suspended or injured out." That quality and determination throughout the squad has been an integral part of Argyle's table-topping form to start the season, as all members of the team are ready to step in and keep their opposition guessing. "I think it's important that you have players who are capable of coming into a squad and doing well," said Adams. "From my point of view, I rely on that. We've got a lot of good players in this squad. We've seen it this season, where players are injured or suspended, and people have come in, performed well, and been able to keep hold of their place. I think that's important. "When you've got a tight squad, it's important that you have competition for places, and we're certainly gathering that now. "We can play different players in different positions, and I think that's the beauty of the squad that we've got. We've played in a variety of different situations this season where teams will find it very difficult to guess what we're going to do." Heavily protected by the Porkmeister and his Ku Klux Klanner Piglets.... I would say he's done a poor job of protection actually and succeeded in making Brent even more unpopular than he might have been. Nools so obvious tactics haven't worked here, or on Facebook, or round and about the city. Brent gets his just deserts on here, and it's not too complimentary out and about in the pubs either. Word has got round about the property developer. And that's with the team 5 points clear at the top! That can't have happened often. The only place where dissent is stiffled, Pasoti, is just one "official" fans' website and advertising portal , no more. It has little to no influence, so no big deal. There's always been a few back of the grandstanders who creep up to the latest owner. Underneath it all, I'm sometimes surprised just how much dislike there is for Brent. Even the BBC and especially the Council aren't impressed. So, all in all, Nool's a waste of space really, and totally counterproductive in the popularity stakes. As for the IT thing, who cares ? Brent runs both parties, so pretty obvious idea I suppose. It all helps the overheads as Jimmy continues to squat on assets doing little of the development he said he would do, cutting costs/jobs/contracts and seeing what's left to pocket. Bulk standard behaviour for a certain sort of parasite, while waiting for assets to increase in value. I WOULD NOT be saying these things if he was actually doing something he said he would do, and develop community assets. Can anyone tell me just what use is James Brent to PCC ? |
