http://johngaltfla.com/wordpress/2015/12/05/12-05-breaking-news-turkey-detains-4-russian-ships-in-black-sea/ Yadda yadda. Everyone said it was going to go off when the jet was shot down. What happened? http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/nov/28/vladimir-putin-calls-for-greater-sanctions-against-turkey President Vladimir Putin signed a decree outlining the curbs and the details were posted on the Kremlin’s website. Among the measures announced were restrictions on imports of some Turkish goods, a ban on charter flights between the two countries and an an end to Russian tour operators selling trips to Tirked. Russia doesn't want to piss off nato, notice nato aren't exactly begging Erdogan to behave himself |

http://johngaltfla.com/wordpress/2015/12/05/12-05-breaking-news-turkey-detains-4-russian-ships-in-black-sea/ I'm beginning to think Erdogan is a bit of a nut case, looking for trouble. Maybe even an agent provocateur or worse a two faced rotten apple. Apart from that, I have never liked their attitude to the Kurds at all. Just old fashioned Empirical shit. I also thought the murdering of Turkish peace protestors was all a bit suspicious. Turkey's inclusion into Nato was symptomatic of the far too forward West that thought they could roll Eastward right up to Russia's borders. I have never understood the logic of including the likes of the Baltic states etc into Europe. Absolute madness. Did they think the bear was finished ? Erdogan wouldn't dare do what he is doing to Russia if he wasn't allied to Nato. If we're not careful that goon, who in my opinion is a loose cannon with a few "authoritarian fascist" traits, could make a bad situation a whole lot worse. I'm no fan of KGB Vladimir, but why antagonise a powerful Asian force at this particular moment in time. These things spiral out of control. And the worse things get, the more likely someone like Trump ends up with his hands on the tiller. We all know Nato are little without America, so time for Obama to rein in Erdogan and tell him he's not the dictator of Nato policy. This whole unraveling disaster needs strong leadership. But, my nose has told me nasty big war has been coming for the last 10 years, and almost inevitable when 2008 happened. In the meantime, I had a nice cup of tea in the sunshine yesterday but broke a toe this morning, I think. A long time since I did that. |

The Turks are loose cannons, they had an empire once you know. they feel the Arabian gulf is theirs by right. fantastic City though Istanbul, Not sure what you want sir John, more intervention or less? |

| Quite simply, less intervention. Let it take it's course. Fat chance of that though. |

| What a great plan that would be. Take a group of brainwashed lunatics who put no value on human life. Let them grow. Let them thrive. Let them invade more lands. Let them torture and murder anyone who doesn't subscribe to their death cult ideology. Sit back and watch them attain the necessary skills and hardware to develop weaponry capable of targeting countries outside the Middle East. Yep. We don't wanna intervene. Just let them crack on. Brilliant. |
