Plymouth Argyle's Derek Adams and Curtis Nelson nominated for monthly awardsPLYMOUTH Argyle boss Derek Adams is the favourite to win the League Two manager-of-the-month award for October.
Adams has been nominated for the divisional prize along with Oxford United's Michael Appleton, Chris Wilder of Northampton Town and Crawley Town's Mark Yates.
Argyle won five of their six league games during October to move clear at the top of the table.
The Pilgrims' monthly total of 15 points was better than Oxford (13), Northampton (13) and Crawley (12).

The last time an Argyle boss won a manger-of-the-month award was in March 2013 when John Sheridan picked up the prize.
It has been a superb start to the season for the Pilgrims under the leadership of Adams after his appointment at Home Park in June as the successor to Sheridan.
Argyle captain Curtis Nelson has also been shortlisted for the League Two player-of-the-month award for October.
The 22-year-old's nomination comes after playing his part in the Pilgrims conceding only three goals in six games.
Nelson faces competition for the prize from two strikers in Matty Bristol Rovers of Bristol Rovers and Morecambe's Shaun Miller, as well as Northampton midfielder Nicky Adams.
Miller netted six goals for Morecambe during October while Adams provided seven assists.
The winners of the manager and player-of-the-months for all three divisions in the Football League will be announced on Friday
