| He really is that deluded.
Plymouth Argyle manager Derek Adams praised the attitude of his squad after they recovered from a goal down three times to take a point at Bradford City.
The Pilgrims remain in the bottom three of League One after the 3-3 draw at Home Park, but it put them a point closer to safety.
"To come back three times, in a big game, shows the mentality of the squad," Adams told BBC Radio Devon.
"That mentality will see us keep moving on forward and picking up points."
The Argyle boss continued: "We speak in a positive way. Other people will speak in a different way because we haven't won the game.
"We haven't won the game because of individual errors, not about teams passing the ball through us, not about great goals, we've given away some shocking goals today."
Adams had plenty of advice for his side in the hope they will stop giving away poor goals.
"Being smart with your head, and that means the process has got to go down from the brain to the feet very quickly and that's not happened today," he said.
"They've been able to get a number of opportunities that way, we don't seem to get these kind of chances.
"Forward-wise we are looking a threat, and we can play, but to go a goal down after four minutes is ridiculous under the circumstances of the game.
"We have to change and that's what has to happen. We can give people information, we can work with them, but sometimes it's either got to sink in or they've got to do it."

| He's almost saying he's going to force 3 or 4 defenders out for whatever he can get, and bring in almost all loanees. Not quite sure how he is going to get the right loans without a chief scout and still few contacts in the english game. North of the border ?
For all his comments regarding thinking smart la la la, those are the sort of reasons that make a footballer or a burger flipper. He's got in some very bad players..... that ultimately is his responsibility along with the cash he was was allowed. The next time you get a good 'un Del, keep him !! Meet that person halfway, or those in demand will wave goodbye. |

| I think DA saying thinks like this is wrong. He needs to be telling the players that conceding three and drawing with the bottom club is unacceptable and that they (the players) need to accept some responsibility for the position the club is in.

| How do you propose the players accept responsibility Grovers ? Do they lay prostrate and plead for forgiveness from the plebiscite of the Muff ? C'mon, think it through It would be like the shop management and board of directors asking the employees to take full responsibility for the fall of the House of Usher Fraser. Whatever happened to the buck stops here ? That seems to have gone out of fashion with flared trousers. |

| Januarys actions will speak a lot louder than any December words. There's not much point in telling crap players they are crap - which most of Dels new recruits are. Adams simply has to get rid of the aforementioned crap and bring in players who are a considerate upgrade all across the back. Easier said than done tho. |

| When silent Si eventually broke his silence in his first statement he more or less said the (useless) 'board' has not discussed the January budget but would wait to see whether DA will ask for increased funds at the time. The impression I got was he only said that because he was absolutely 100% safe in the knowledge that no request for increased January funds will ever be forthcoming from the complicit DA.
We are down and DA, Hallett and the useless 'board' of shite couldn't care less. |

| Freathers, it used to be the cynical view that "the club don't want to go up". Now it appears it's a case of "The club want to go down". Year on year progress. |

| praises in one hand looking to replace them in a few weeks off baggo
THE transfer window is slightly ajar and Argyle manager Derek Adams is already in multiple discussions on players coming in and going out.
When that window opens fully in January, the Pilgrims intend to do some business, and that process has already begun with Derek speaking to clubs and agents, as well as informing some players currently on the Green books that they will be made available.
The general January pattern is for deals to be concluded toward the end of the month but Argyle’s diligent prep work could make this happen sooner.
“We’re speaking to other clubs and to agents, finding out if players are going to be available,” said Derek. “Every manager in the league is doing that at this moment in the time. That’s the stage we are in and so are most clubs.
“It takes up a bit of time because you’ve got to be in contact with many people. Before you sign a player, there are a lot of processes that you need to go through.
“The reason it doesn’t really start going until the end of January is that, when you speak to clubs and players, they’ve got to make decision on leaving their clubs on loan or permanently. It can happen very quickly or in a slow process. It will get quicker as we get into January.
“We’ve spoken to our players who will be available to go out and clubs have shown an interest. It’s like us showing an interest in players at other clubs, it’s the same process.” |
