Hard to lose money on figures like that. Except there is no way on earth that Argyle are going to be the 'Promoter' and making that sort of money. Argyle no doubt will just be renting out the stadium. Be lucky to make 100K |

Argyle no doubt will just be renting out the stadium. Be lucky to make 100K That's what happened last time. No idea about this time but I suspect that the whole tour is promoted by somebody who isn't Argyle. I've no idea how much we'll make this time but £100K you wouldn't otherwise have sounds pretty good to me. The real genius here would be to put a week's worth of events on the same stage and spread the one-off costs over several days. Maybe they will. We'll see. |

The roadies will pack the stage up and it will go to the next gig on the tour. Argyle want to hold a 'festival', I think they are going to need to 'promote' it themselves. |

| Rod will fill home park no problem the guy is a legend, i went in 2009 and that was probably the last time twenty thousand punters were in HP! Even Jimmy and Team Clown should make money booking the King of Rock. |

| Angry, are you suggesting the council should sell Home Park to Brent so he can make the money ? What's wrong with a local council, Tory or Labour, making some money by holding events on their own property, along with the tenant, to be enjoyed by the local population ? Weird. Rod's not my idea of fun though, more for what he represents than his voice, but people will enjoy it. And as for a football club like Argyle organising a festival ? Do me a favour. |

If thats what your purposely argumentative point of view is then so be it. You were the one that started the out of context Tudor Evans rant, not me. You're easy meat, Angry. I don't mind a lazy lob back while I'm cooking the tea. |

| I saw a tv interview with Rod a year or two ago. At home with his immaculate well cut red jacket ( that I quite liked ) being every inch the country gentleman. Quite extraordinary the change from the shagger street boy of the 70s. Softly spoken, considered, appreciative of a certain lilt of life, I thought it suited him well. Just goes to show it isn't the preserve of genes, more like a decent income, without fear, from enjoyable work, and pleasant surroundings. I wonder if the title of his new album refers to the nationalism thing. I sort of hope so, even though he's a UK man and very much establishment now.. |

Never know Rod might take a liking to Home Park with its Scottish manager and buy it off of Brent.... . |

| I saw an advert for this gig on Facebook earlier. Such a shame they couldn't get the name of the football club hosting the event correct.
We are now Plymouth FC ! |

So a 20,000 turn up grosses £1.5 Million on average. Wonder what fee Jimmy Boy has negotiated for Argyle...... |

certainly now that steel mill in Middlesbrough is closed adding to the shortage. Persoanly, I think,, well not think, know, that the lack of Breeze blocks and the price of steel was just a poor excuse in a long line of many. |
