Whatever position he is given, if he is given one that is , he will probably end up causing more harm than good at the end of the day. It was looking like all was not well behind the scenes at PBay and Daz seemed to be his only ally recently, at least in public. He ended up doing more harm than good and drove a lot of people to this forum. I hope though that we can move on too and let this site evolve as a real football discussion site with the emphasis on football. The opportunity is there. Let's not give too much ammunition to those who see this as purely an anti PBay site.
My prediction is that he'll receive some sort of fund raising position, possibly even involving a place on the board. Unbelievable I know but I reckon the club is in for a long period of total stagnation. The big society. PAFC ticking along in Div 2 or the Blue Square whilst Brent has other things to do. Anyone else feel totally underwhelmed ? The clues are in the quotes of Where's Webby and Napoleon. 'We have the chance to build something here' and 'James Brent doesn't want walleted people in the boardroom'. What a complete and utter turn off for all but the local Avivas. |

| That's one skirmish won.
Let's hope it's not just the prelude to all-out war. |

One hopes he'll wake up one morning and it suddenly hits him as to how much his overly-aggressive 'moderation' of the largest 'independent' PAFC fans forum is responsible for the mess we find ourselves in. But I doubt it, as long as he can treat the club as his own personal fiefdom it matters not. It will end in tears however as from what little I know of his own nature, I would bet my house he will make enemies and he's no longer going to be the big fish in the little pond that is PASOTI. |

| Happy days Looks like a fall-out with the mods, too many "misinformed wassocks" in there apparently. The ATD freaks are to blame of course for all his antics. |

The same vile scum and one trick ponies who tried to warn him not to' trust in Stapes and his lovely family' I daresay ? He was too busy trying to worm his way into the club to see the bigger picture and he still is. |

| Brilliant news, if it's true, remember Daz's resignation? - And has already been said, a battle has been won but if he moves on and further into the club, the war is only just beginning!

That's what I meant I see. I suppose from Brent's position, if he can get the dynamic duo running around auctioning anything they can get their paws on, bringing in any kind of corporate money/sponsorship and generally fundraising for him while he cracks on with his real business plans, it's all good for him. All it costs him is a fixed grin, a parking spot and the odd jolly in the inner sanctum. Where the plan falls down is these clowns will never appeal to anyone other than the terminally tinted Aviva hundreds. The ultras scheme tells you just how infantile is the thinking. You don't 'create' an atmosphere by handing out song sheets and flying a flag, it happens naturally when the conditions are right. Looks very much like giant pasties and jester hats are are on the menu for the forseeable future. Enjoy ! ps I expect Wotts will be back to join the fun soon. Look how far we've come ! |

So, James Brent is going to ban himself then ? Looks to me like Brent is going to run Argyle like the East India Company. Rip off the assets, while getting the supposed local leaders to control and sit on the populace, while he puts in bugger all. If that is the scenario, and we continue to lose matches, there will be an almighty ruck. As to who will sort of run Pasoti post the long overdue disappearnce of Nool, I suspect Postcode might have the nod. If not, it could be an indication of Postcode wanting Cowdery's job. He comes cheap enough. Roll on Peter Ridsdale's Big Society. |

| You won't be the only one Grumpy. I have no intention of putting a penny into a club with Nool in a prominent position... as bad as Ridsdale but for differing reasons. |

| As far as the title of this thread goes - hallelujah! (thankyou pp for your encouragement)
As far as Mr Brent goes, wait until Saturday. He has done what he has promised so far. OK they are bargain basement signings but we are bargain basement! And, if they enable us to stay up then hallelujah squared! |

| Its funny that people mention "double standards".
IJN threatened me with legal action under the data protection act when Jock published his PM last week.
Yet this week both him and Daz were goading other posters into publishing their PM's on Pasoti.
Weird. |

PP - Seems strange that you wouldn't attend a football match to support your club, even though your heart must say that you want to, based upon the position of a member of the public behind the scenes. Ian's not in the starting 11 who all deserve every bit of support each individual fan can muster to save our league status. Edited to add: He hasn't been appointed in any role.........yet. Agree to disagree but aren't you denying yourself the pleasure of supporting your club and at the same time not exactly helping in the relegation battle? |

Web out Newell out I wonder how many other people would've got away with the bullying and abuse Newell through at Cobi earlier. (Whether or not he deserved it) Ian Newell...once a cock, always a cock! |
