| Looks like a good signing given his flexibility and our small squad. Made his debut at RB but played in a recent Bolton u21 game in midfield- [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

ARGYLE have signed Bolton Wanderers defender Oscar Threlkeld on loan. The 20-year-old comes to Home Park from the Championship club until January 2.
Bolton-born Oscar is a product of the Trotters' Academy who has made eight appearances for his hometown club.
He was handed his first-team debut as a starter in a 3-1 win at Sheffield Wednesday at the end of Bolton's 2013-14 campaign and also played in the Trotters' dramatic 2-2 home draw against Birmingham City, when the visitors maintained their Championship status with an equaliser in the third minute of injury time.
Last season, the right-sided player, who has regularly captained Bolton's Under-21 side, played a further six times for the Trotters in the Championship and Capital One Cup.
Oscar is following in the studmarks of fellow young Trotters defender Andy Kellett, who enjoyed a hugely successful spell at Home Park last season.
Andy played 15 times for the Pilgrims, scoring the Argyle Goal of the Season at Northampton Town and picking up the fans' Most Promising Player of the Season award. His performances in the Green also played a part in earning him a subsequent loan move to Manchester United.
Oscar will wear the number 26 shirt during his stay at Home Park.
Welcome to Argyle, Oscar. |

| Just what we need to bolster our average right sided options imo. As long as we don't lose anybody before the transfer window closes we might just have a squad capable of promotion. |

| Early days but so far the manager's signings all seem to be decent footballers.
Hope this guy is as well. Competition for Mellor presumably (who on every occasion that I've seen, has not impressed).
Mind you, I'm not easily impressed. |

Mind you, I'm not easily impressed. Yep, agree with all of that. It is a slightly strange feeling actually looking forward to the bit between 3-5pm on a Saturday, rather than just the pre/post match drinks. As PP says, early days but all the signs are good as far as Adams goes. |

Here Adams view on the two Quote It will not be lost on Argyle fans that the last player the Pilgrims borrowed from Bolton walked off with the club’s Most Promising Player and Goal of the Season awards. However, Derek said judging Oscar alongside Andy Kellett is not comparing apples with apples. “Andy is a wing-back, small and dynamic,” he said. “Oscar’s a wee bit different; he’s a defender and we are hopeful that he can do well. He can play right-back; he can play as the sitting midfield player – they are the two positions he has played in for Bolton; he’s been captain of their Under-21 side, as well.” |

| If that is the case then another tick for Del Bhey. Knows what he wants and doesn't panic.
