I think the worry is that IJN has been given a reward like Webby, I also think that the pair of them will end up on the board when Brent gets round to appointing it, further down the line I worry that they will end up running the show.

I've got a feeling Newell and Webby will be on the board somehow in some role. Rolling Eyes

I remember when Pasoti was suppose to have nothing to do with argyle, and it was totally dependent and staff were banned from using it. Maybe it was IJN's wish all along to get on the board, along with Webby who already has his 'lil' reward with a 'lil' president title

I thought chris's reply to Jon was pretty disgraceful, he let himself down having a pop at him.

Napoleon said as much recently when remarking that Brent did not intend to bring in 'wallet backed directors'.

If this turns out to be the case then it's small time, parochial mediocrity at best for the forseeable future............ but hey rejoice, we still have a club and the dough boys are in charge !

Last one out, turn off the lights........... but not in the pyramid, that'll still be rockin along with Dave Banana and a few 'ebullient' janners.

Away days with real mates at Forest Green.........' you're just a small town in Nailsworth '............ how we laughed ! jocolor lol!

I've gone off football in general anyway. Fore !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

should suit our erstwhile friend, height, location and posting style

we forget however, that if the trust gets boardwise, then we can vote the little scroat off the companys board.

i remember thinking as a kid that when all the *tories die we'd have a pleasant country to live in again, misguided and naive perhaps, but the same fate could befall the mighty green machine

Unless the thinking has changed, I don't think either of them will have a seat on the board. Brent wants business acumen, vision and intelligence. It's perfectly clear that they don't possess those qualities, and I would hope that Brent would recognise that.

As part of the corporate governance arrangements however, I wouldn't be surprised to see Webb chairing the 'advisory' board, (or whatever it's called), with Newell, of course, by his side. If that were the case, it may well be inappropriate for them to be members of, and post on supporters websites.

Anything more than that, for example, a seat on the board, would be unthinkable.

I dont post on Pasoti very often but this post really got to me.

hears what i posted.

I enjoy reading this site and many others, while Pasoti is overly moderated so you must keep your opinion to that of the in crowd (you know who you are), or risk getting bullied or banned, other sites are less restrained and let people express their opinion, which mostly leads to debate.

Not everyone shares the same opinion, or wear green tints, but that does not make their opinion any less valid.

You often get idiots who always persist in posting negative feelings not matter what Argyle's situation, and you will always get fans who probably wouldnt be satisfied with Abrahmovic as owner, but thats what leads to deabate, and as fans they deserve their voice as much as anyone.

Todays events on Pasoti have pretty much vindicated what people on here have been saying for a while now. Chris Webb has upset quite a few people today, and Ian Newell, well he's just been Ian Newell again.

Conspiracy theorists on ATD? Almost certainly. Chips on our shoulders? Again most of us have. Spotted what CW and IJN were up to a long time ago? Absolutely. Chris has posted the Presidents Progress update on Pasoti but not on here again, and to be honest I'm glad.

El Presidente comes in for lots of stick on here, along with Ian Newell, but today they have let their masks slip a little and attacked anyone who doesn't go along with their view. Is this because they no longer care about Pasoti as they have bigger fish to fry? Time will tell, but I forecast another rise in membership on ATD, especially if the headline grabbing signing of Maxime Blanchard, to go along with the "surprise" signings of Purse and Chadwick. In reality we haven't signed anyone in this transfer window, so the team that has been awful on the whole and sits bottom of the whole pile of professional football clubs in England, is the team who are going to suddenly turn it round and surge up the table. I'm surprised none of the farm faithful have picked up on Newell's "shipping out" comment? Maybe not that many care?

It won't be true anyway.

I think we need to show a little more patiance with signings, im sure work is ongoing, but to get players here in our position isnt very attractive, im pretty certain we have been turned down by a few already, i know times not on our side, but if they went out and signed 6 kids, just to show they are doing something who turn out no better than what we have then we are well and truly f%ck$d.

As for Chris Webb, i actually like the bloke, shoot me down if you must, but at least he is passing on as much info as he is allowed to pass on, we must remember he probably knows more than what he is allowed to say.

But he is also allowed as a fan to post his opinions on other peoples posts. The only thing is it is a fine line because of his position.

I can't believe that Brent doesn't see the dynamic duo for what they really are, unless, he has a very limited plan for the football club and truly believes that these people represent the great unwashed, blind faith, rank and file faithful, who will put up with any amount of crap, yet still pay through the nose so they can follow their Argo in perpetual mediocrity at best ?
It really is quite ridiculous that a seemingly sophisticated individual has actually been taken in. He must be using them surely ?

They treat him with such Uriah Heap style reverence, it is sickening. It's never James or Jim or Brent, always the full James Brent, a fine gentleman FFS !

I don't believe the cultural bollocks surounding 'successful' businessmen ... they often are just well connected people with access to milking the system. I certainly woudn't automatically assume someone like Brent is sophisticated. He's just a soft spoken connected lad. Look at Murdoch's son, is he sophisticated ?.
And in any event, when off piste, eveyone is legless. Let's not forget how the too clever for his own good Houdini met his end. Low cunning often marries high cloud and wins out.... it all depends on the key.

I did say 'seemingly' but you may well be correct. What a frikkin mess.

Hope someone asks Brent a nasty question or heckles him on Saturday. Napoleon has said he'll walk out !

Why would you want him heckled? What's he done to deserve that? Asking pertinent and tough questions, absolutely. We're in the shit and we all want out of this mess but heckling for no reason doesn't do any good.

If he's asked pertinent and tough questions and evades them[ or Where's Webby does it for him] he deserves all he gets. He's already proving he's a bad judge of character.

I want Newell to walk out as threatened............ but he won't, probably get the knuckle draggers to sort the guy out.
