Plymouth Argyle to dominate the Premier League beating Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool
Quote
Plymouth Argyle will become a major force in football with their name chanted above those of Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Everton and others we currently think of as the stars
But it may take the Plymouth team a season or 200 to reach the dizzy heights.
The Pilgrims will even go down in the record books with the Premier League's youngest goal scorer when Carl Ross, aged 15 years and 198 days, helps Argyle to a 4-3 victory over Manchester City on March 1, 2924.
That is according to a simulation run by user of the forum Reddit Lorf-Yimzo, who ran the game Football Manager for 58 days straight - the in-game equivalent of 1,000 years - to see what would happen.
The computer simulated every result from every game and generated a pile of statistics which Lorf has uploaded in a post called The Millenial Sim is here. 1,000 years of simming the English Football Pyramid.
You might expect Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal and the rest to continue to dominate the game for the next 1,000 years - but you'd be wrong.
In fact in 2245/46 Plymouth Argyle will score the most goals allowed in the League Cup with 16.
Unfortunately by 2943/44 Plymouth Argyle will be remembered for the worst team discipline record when they take 45 yellow cards and four red in the European Cup - although that competition will also see Plymouth's Joaquin Lozano as the top golascorer with 21 under his belt in the 2712/13 season.

The simulation shows that in the 2200s Plymouth Argyle spend some time at the top of the Premier League, Stoke are on the decline and Man U are fought off by Sheffield United.
In 200 years, according to the game, Argyle will be battling Sheffield, Arsenal, Barnsley, Southend and Burnley at the top of the Premier League.
300 years after that, in the 2500s, the century starts with QPR, Burnley and Southend as top dogs - but Plymouth Argyle end that century on a strong note fighting for dominance with teams including Tottenham and a resurgent Barnsley.
Plymouth continue to make appearances in the top flight of football in the 2600s according to the simulation, but really challenge for the top spot in the 2700s when they are taking down Liverpool and Norwich.
Unfortunately in the end Sheffield United will dominate that century.
And will Plymouth Argyle get a new stadium in the next 1,000 years?
Apparently, yes. By 3015 Plymouth will have the fifth largest stadium of clubs taking part in the English FA Cup. For some reason it will be called the Jaouen Arena and it will hold 86,386 mighty, mighty fans.
