| It was Ottawa Green, but I actually felt sorry for him as it was done under strange circumstances. The real problem was "J.Edgar" Newell thought he'd use the knowledge of what the Canadian moderator had done as an experiment, to hang it over his head to control him. Ottawa came out suddenly one day spilling the beans, saying he felt like he was being manipulated/threatened, or words to that effect. The same sort of "fear" got the better of De Lar when he had to own up to being part of the greenman account that had threatened fans' families. Of course, as we've all seen from Newell's publicly availble flikr files, "keeping the dirt" on fellow fans/posters/moderators is quite a hobby of his to protect himself should the shit ever hit the fan. Who can forget his keeping of a text conversation with a hacker friend who he asked to "hit" Rickler's email. Nool's carefully worded reply was screenshot and saved as if it wasn't his actual idea. What a creep. I suspect he's got something similar on all the Pasoti mods he's been working with.

| It serves little purpose to identify an individual moderator.
The posts in Bex's name were made in the mod forum, so were not visible on the main forums.
It illustrated two unpleasant truths.
The mods could do things with other people's accounts that were unexpected and inappropriate. That the power to do was all too often in the wrong hands.
The role of moderating a public forum requires a certain set of skills. Those do not include tampering, provocation and belligerence. Those last three qualities have been all too apparent recently. |

| There was a screenshot in the Flickr files that showed the option to change the author of any post.
It was a post by Wozzer at the time and there was a drop down box that stated "change post author".
Why would an honest forum need a tool like that? |

- There have been many examples of poor, inconsistent and downright hypocritical behaviour on the part of the moderators on PASOTI over the years.
When one of them called Peggy "sugar tits" and refused to apologise when I called him on it, for a start. When one of them used Bex's log in to post in her name after her death. When they collectively allowed a succession of fake accounts to be used to stir up factional discontent in the AFT and the PASB.
That's just a few of the instances that come to mind within a few moments of thought.
Whenever any of those incidents occured, there was little in the way of apology. From there, trust and respect quietly and quickly eroded.
The recent tactic of suggesting posters who aren't in agreement with the party line must obviously be very drunk is just another sinister development.
It's not banter. It's not discussion amongst equals. It's abuse, nothing less.
The only sensible reaction is to disengage, sadly, but with the knowledge that any other response would be to ignore Einstein's maxim on the definition of insanity. I struggle to understand the logic behind why they would use a dead womans account to post from...that is just sick up there with sending white feathers to cancer victims. Very fair and reasonable points made by both posters, but the sad thing is that you're both just scratching the surface of the bullying, abusive underhand and, at times, downright criminal behaviour of the Pasoti site owner and his minions. |

- I'm another one who no longer posts on Pasoti after many years of being an enthusiastic and loyal user. I've got nothing personal against any of the hierarchy (I've never met any of them, and they've always been decent in any one-to-one dealings). However, a nagging sense that the site's independence had been compromised following the arrival of James Brent, developed into a full-blown WTF after I was set upon for daring to ask how much we owed Brent, and under what terms. Someone split the thread and pathetically changed its title to make me look like an utter numpty. Someone else launched a tirade against me and my "mates", whoever they were supposed to be.
That was many months ago and I haven't logged back in since. Nor do I have any plans to under the current set up.
What was once a free forum of debate, campaigning and endless questioning of the club has become a sanitised, commercial platform controlled by people who are - in my view - far too close to the owner to even consider using the word 'independent' as a selling point.
Pasoti, as I once knew and loved it, is no more.

| Pasoti apologies are not apologies for their wrongdoing. They are apologies because they were caught. |

| If any other business lost so many loyal, repeat "customers" there would be questions asked about the management team.
If I owned a website that was facing public derision, combined with the loss of intelligent long-standing posters and I wasn't part of the moderating or management team, as Newell says he isn't, then I would be questioning the role of the site management and moderating policy. Is it the moderating policy or the personnel? Taxi for De Lar? |

I'll be needing a poo. You did state on here that we'd met at the Ricoh years ago and that I was a decent chap. That won't have gone down well. The reluctant one one knows exactly what his Windsor Boys provide through pasoti............or used to. ATD is a nightmare for him, as his Aviva shield is now weakening through pasoti's demise and the catalogue of devious activities it has performed for him are public knowledge. He can't dump his jamboys though, as if they turn on him too, his tenure will get the stick it deserves. |

There can't be too many Football Forum Mod rooms that boast such an array of Grade A plums - Angry S, Ollielickarse, De Liar, Nitty Gritty Pedlar, to name but a few - all overseen by meglomaniac Nool. Safe to say the Pasoti implosion rolls on unabated. |

| Thanks for the warm welcome, all. Especially impressed by the artistic qualities of ATD members. Good to see primary schools are teaching kids Photoshop Not sure I'm responsible for the stripes. I may have mentioned something on Pasoti about the 93-94 kit being my favourite, but there were others shouting louder #stripesareback. And no more books from me I'm afraid. I did consider it, but even writing a relatively short book like mine was a massive ballache. It completely takes over and unless you're writing about wizards you'll usually end up out of pocket. |

I've just been over the farm and had to chuckle at this episode of scraping the barrel. A pair of Craig Noones boots, put up for auction last night. 1 bid of £30, RRP £160.00. What an embarrassment. |
