Joined: Sun Oct 31, 2010 8:19 pm I've just spoken to Wottsie, there's been a misunderstanding and he actually still has the medals but he really appreciates the efforts of the fans to buy back the medals.
Thank you for the pledges but the medals are with Paul. |

| You could not make it up. From afar it seems that he's advertised on Argyle's fastest declining website something that "a legend" seemed to want kept personal.
The gift that keeps on giving...

| The blundering idiot isn't happy now: "FFS isn't quite obvious this is a very personal matter.
Why can't we just accept it and leave it at that?"But it was ok to use this personal matter to further boost your ego and to become the hero. Now you look like a tw@t it has to be brushed under the carpet? The gift that keeps on giving. Like a blundering old fool The cynic in me would say the OP was a well planted multi in the ego boosting game. |

| A real egg on face moment. Very funny, don't know why anyone expected the fans to chip in for the medals. Wotts prob earns more than most now! His medals, if he wants to flog them its none of our business. |

| ...and if Newell wants to buy them and donate them to the club, well that's his business! Except it isn't. LOL!
How idiotic a plan was that? Old boy Wotton getting caught flogging his medals whilst still at the club is a big enough PR disaster as it is...
Newell highlighting the affair by playing his joker charity card is priceless |

| That'll be the post count taking another hit then History would point to him having quite an interest in the personal matters of others. I reckon he quite enjoys it. |

| Someone putting his point of view across about the collection for TUFC! Is it because there is no mention about pasoti?
What is more important?
Collecting for a fellow Devon club that is in serious trouble or the getting of publicity for your forum?
I see there is no mention of the GT's work either in the article but no one has said anything about that. As usual the GT's have just got on with it!

| Hmmm, without being able to see all the comments it does look like someone is querying why the reporter hasn't mentioned someone or somebodies names. Also someone mentioned a picture not being used.
Surely the story is Argyle fans turning up at Torquay and raising a few quid. Not which Argyle fans did what or who donated money. |

Talking of such peacock display, I saw the GOS photo of the fan fest muso/comics and an ex trust chap I think, fists on chests to Semper. It all looked a bit 1930s central Europe. Just reposition the arm a tad. Maybe they look back wistfully, and forward hopefully. There's a lot of it about. Are you seriously implying that that they have Nazi sympathies because they put their fists on their chests to Semper? All valid and serious point that you have to make about the world (I fully agree with you on Corbyn and refugees btw) are utterly undermined by the amount of basic, baseless horseshit that you spout without having a clue what you're on about. |

Sam, you have the wrong edge of the sword.
I think Sir J is implying that some of the more faithful have such 'faith' that they will show this in a symbolic manner.
As a Yank might put his palm to his heart as the Stars and Stripes is played.
As a metal fan might punch the air when asked if he is ready to rock... |

I don't post here to impress you Sam, or anyone else. It's a game of football, that's all. Some people use it as vehicle for something else. There are many thoughts down the centuries of flags being the last refuge of the scoundrel. I would add austentatious charidee posing to that. Who can ever forget the Greek guy Phil being the public head of the world wildlife fund while shooting anything that moved. People dress up in many guises. Known locally down 'ere as Webb spinning. Anyway, I thought you were concentrating on your career. You've a lot to learn in a short time. |
