Today's Western Morning News has reported that Argyle haven't spoken to anyone yet. They are still drawing up a short list! Coughlan didn't have an informal chat to the club at all. He was just attending a Senior Greens event.

So on that report, all the wild speculation on all websites, is exactly that; wild speculation. People who have been apparently been seen in Plymouth, on the moors, at the beach or elsewhere are probably figments of some people's fertile imaginations. Of course these people might be on holiday. It is the close season and this is a holiday area.

This of course doesn't stop people who might actually know something about a friend or relative who has applied for the job talking about it and it's getting around.

Much more concerning is hearing that a short list hasn't been finalized yet. I hope the new manager when he appears knows something about the players in the bottom two divisions because he's going to have to hit the ground sprinting to catch up with other clubs who are hoovering up the decent players who are available.

Then again this mornings report could also be bollocks as well.

I hope we get on with it. The rest of L2 are snapping up the best of the free agents. Unless we sort someone out very quickly we'll be relying on loanees again next season.

Wotton is out of contract so he will either have to agree to work with Coughlan in the same role or other or he can leave and come back another day.

Not difficult to be accurate about that is it? Warnock has reservations about the budget! Wow, there's a surprise. I would have thought all potential managers would have doubts about the budget.

Sheridan told the club he was leaving ages ago? If he did, why wasn't it announced the day after the Wycombe game so we could move on? Surely the club and Sheridan would have sorted that out well before hand. Or the story is wrong. Which ever way it doesn't matter he's gone. Non story.

If Sheridan had made his mind up before the end of the season that he was moving on......how come the club where waiting for him to come back to them about his decision whether to go or stay.

Did he say good by to the staff and players before he went home....no inkling of that happening is there.........a wasted fortnight of inaction......who is in charge at PAFC at the moment.....some form of urgency is required before we have a cocked up pre-season and poor start to the season.

It was always an open secret that Wotton and Coughlan weren't best buddies. As Richard says - non story.

Skynet has a long history of being bang on with breaking stories long before they are officially announced.

Coughlan and Wotton had a parallel partnership with that of Andy Cole and Teddy Sheringham. A frosty off-field relationship that was put to one side once they crossed the white line.

TBH, i think next season will be a non-event. The new manager [when he eventually arrives] will be relying on what is left at the bottom of the bin and loans.

I am not expecting much from Argyle in the 2015-16 season if the truth be known and i can see the club still being in this shite league in 2016-17 and even 2017-18. Perhaps by then, the new manager will have built a team capable of promotion. As we know, it does take time to put together a winning 11.

Argyle are still waiting on Lewi and O'Connor to see what they are going to do, will those two wait another week or so just to see who the new gaffer will be etc-etc.

Time is dragging on now and it is not in the best interests for Argyle to let this go on and on and on.

Hopefully, Argyle will announce the new manager sometime next week. If not, God knows.
