That kind of travelling would be bad enough for full time players at clubs with much bigger budgets, but in a league where 12 of the 21 clubs last season had crowds of 300 or less it is crazy, FFS, their local derby with WSM is nearly 150 miles.

This is madness. How is our football model sustainable when you are asking clubs to travel so much on those crowds?

At first glance yeah, I'd agree. But even with promotion to the level they are at, they could probably get by with a LWB minibus to travel to games. All it means is that they spend a few hours more on the road with the only extra expense being maybe another £50 or £60 in fuel. As far as traveling goes, I can't see it costing them more than a grand or so extra over the course of a season.
