| Andy Awford has left Portsmouth by mutual consent. However, Portsmouth have stated that the door remains open for Awford, perhaps in another capacity.
During his time at the League Two club, the season has been mixed and it sees Portsmouth occupying 14th position. Assistant manager Gary Waddock takes over for the remainder of the season.

| Vey weird. Playing golf with a Pompey supporting acquaintance this morning and asked him whether he wanted Awford to stay, maybe around the very minute he was sacked. He said he wanted him to stay actually, so he'll be disappointed when he hears that news. Odd coincidence though. |

| If i were one of the Portsmouth Board, the first name i would look at is that of Paul Tisdale. He has done miracles at Exeter City on a limited to low budget. I believe he could do a good job at Pompey in the short to medium term and possibly longer. This is the list of potential managers according to SkyBet :- Next Permanent ManagerHarry Redknapp 5/1 Gary Waddock 5/1 Ian Holloway 6/1 Darren Ferguson 8/1 Neil Warnock 9/1 James Beattie 10/1 Paul Cooke 10/1 Uwe Rosler 10/1 Danny Wilson 12/1 Ian Dowie 12/1 Mark Yates 14/1 Paul Hardyman 16/1 Nigel Worthington 16/1 Gary Megson 16/1 Mark Warburton 20/1 Brian Laws 20/1 Gianfranco Zola 25/1 Keith Hill 33/1 Paul Lambert 33/1 Gus Poyet 33/1[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

| I'm amazed JS isn't being mentioned because of his links to Pompey! I mean he must have played there once at least While we are on other teams etc I'm sure you would all join me in wishing Steve Evans at Rotherham all the best as Rotherham stand by to get 3 points deducted thus getting them very close to the drop. Couldn't happen to a nicer bloke. |

Absolutely. A moron of the first water. Can't believe he's still allowed to have anything to do with football. |

| If Waddock is made permanent manager then it'll absolutely make my year. |
