| Damn..
Reading between the lines and ear-dropping by the radio, Argyle are up against a Burton side who are better, fitter, organised and dominant.
Oh well. |

| Luton 2 City 3 FFS! City could make the playoffs at this rate. |

That would be a massive FFS, as it would be likely that it would be Argyle's place they would be taking!! |

| Overall a point was fair I'd say and it could be a very important one against a dangerous Burton. |

| Argyle started the game pretty well, with Banton looking as lively and confident as he's been for some time, but although the opening exchanges were even enough there were warning signs from Burton's sometimes very clever approach work which resulted in a shot being deflected just wide and a powerful header being cleared off the line, can't quite remember who it was but good organisation on Argyle's part. Their goal was actually rather cruel, a wicked deflection which looped over McCormick, hit the far post and rebounded across the goal whilst worming its way about six inches over the line-Staniforthesque, except the fecker went in. Argyle had good pressure at the start of the second half,Lewis had a shot blocked and Reuben smashed a shot against the post from a short free kick by Bobby Reid but Argyle then seemed to lose their way and started to overhit balls [especially THD and Hartley] and give possession away easily against a Burton side content to play on the counter and generally waste time. But their "perfect away performance" was spoiled by McHugh heading home a corner from Bobby Reid-didn't see it coming in all honesty but with other results going the way they did it could be a very important and probably just about deserved point. Thought the officials were shocking again, bad decision making generally [do they actually understand the playing advantage scenario?] and there should have been more than four minutes added, in fact Nelson was in good possession when the whistle blew for FT. The new lad from Everton fitted in well and he likes to get forward, defence was solid but Bobby Reid seemed to be bypassed by the game and without his passing flair, Argyle tend to struggle to create. Still, not a bad point in the end, as you were basically. |

| Agree with what greenskin said. Also McCormicks kicking (it was windy) was poor today. Argyle gave up possession often with aimless punts. THD seemed ok in defence but distribution was abysmal. No real stand out performances, poor game overall. |

Apparently it was. So, in spite of my comments above [and he didn't have a good game generally],he set up Reuben, set up the equaliser and headed off the line, so maybe he wasn't so unproductive after all. |

| Heard the cheering after the goal from the house i live in, so knew it was 1-1.
A point is good, especially as it was against Burton Albion [how sad to say that].
On to Pompey next and another tough game, a point would do, but i hope Argyle can get the three points. |

| A draw was a fair result really. Despite being top Burton were no great shakes, just hungrier & given too much space. Too many mistakes for me, sideways passes going into touch or long passes not completed. Holmes Dennis & Bobby Reid in particular having poor games I thought, Holmes Dennis dribbling the ball into touch when nobody was near him on one occasion |

| Hassleblank moaning about our goal being a foul on a defender but no mention that their goal was a bit of a fluke really. |

| I'll take a point, and a deserved one IMO in an unspectacular affair, the blustery weather didn't help along with Burtons unsporting tactics but other results seem to have been kind to us so all in all not a bad day. |

| A good result apparently.
In reality it was Burton and their huge budget? |

| This from a GOS correspondent clearly displays a lack of understanding of PAFC's place in the grand scheme of things. Worryingly, this mentality is now running the show in most parts of the club.
Andrew Chapman [GOS] 5 hrs Not often one to chide another club, but, 234 travelling fans when you are top, top, top of the league is just embarrassing. Still, more than they mustered last season I guess.... Like · Comment · Share
Andrew Brooks Burton Albion shouldn't even be in the same league as city club Argiggle.....................and next season they probably won't. Eleven miles from Derby, with a population of 40k, only their 6th season in the football league............. get real. |

| Have they heard of this concept called points? If you get more than 21 other clubs you go up a league and if you are consistently shite you end up in league 2 playing Accrington and saying it's a tough game. |

When Argyle get their act together, they are a force to be reckoned with and can beat anyone on the day. However, over the past few weeks some dismal form has seen the side yo-yo between the POs and outside the POs. It is fair to say that the games they have played, and the ones that remain, can be described as tough. The run-in that Argyle have is a kind run-in, it is up to Argyle to take the chance and secure a spot in the POs. Hitting form now would be an ideal time. |
