Edward Woodward used to live at Calstock, married to Michele Dotrice, they used to go to my mums shop in Tavvy, very pleasant couple apparently.I remember him in Callan and the Wicker Man,she was in that show with Michael Crawford, can't remember what it was called.

I've also apologised by e-mail to the Pasoti mods e-mail address, and in particular Ian Newell. When I didn't receive a reply when asking why I was banned, or to my e-mail about my e-mail account being hacked, I did send a few really abusive e-mails. Shouldn't have let it get to me as it just let's them know that they have achieved their aim. Still the abuse was out of order and I've apologised for it and I won't contact them again. Not sure if anyone has received an apology from anyone on Pasoti, because there was definitely wrongdoing on both sides.

I don't think I would have used the word ebullient then lol! missed by connection at Newport on the way back too. Was nearly stranded in bloody Wales overnight. These boys, can't handle their drink.

Getting shitfaced at 9am. Hasn't happened to me since I went to Helston Flora day about 27 years ago. Mea and my mate in the Blue Anchor drinking their Spingo from 8am on an empty stomach. Straight from there to the fair, double cheesburger, straight to the Waltzers.

Felt bloody marvellous!

Might do it again this year! Laughing

I actually can't stand going to football without at least a few beers. My trouble is I also like a smoke and when you mix a couple of spliffs and 7% scrumpy without any breakfast, it can get a bit messy Razz

I took my stepson and nephew to Swindon away a few years ago when we went 2-0 up, they got back to 2-2 and then we scored a last minute winner. Great game, brilliant atmosphere, but I was stone cold sober and wished I wasn't being a responsible adult with two 8year olds.

Greenjock posted a link to an Exeweb thread which showed up Newell (or one of his aliases 'Porkie'), his post was deleted and he got banned for it.
Iggy reposted it, it was removed then re-instated after Newell decided to pretend he likes banter. But Greenjock wasn't re-instated.
Someone signed up on here as 'Porkie'. Cue predictable abuse in spite of it clearly not being him. Porkie account deleted as it clearly was someone else having a hilarious laugh.
Club President acts all "USA on Palestine" on us, demanding peace from us with nothing in Tel-Aviv, ahem, on PASOTI. Mixed reaction but hardly overwhelmingly negative. Most interested in
In the interests of fairness and debate Cerbera posted the link to here on PASOTI. After a few genuine posts by various anons, Newell flies off the handle.
During the debate on PASOTI Cerbera posted a copy of an email where Newell had called someone a 'coont' to back up his point.
Newell panics and calls mods on here and dane_b (apparently) to get this removed in case that person gets all 'gangland tussles' on himself and Tony Maffiosa.
The hilarious person who created the 'Porkie' account tries to act as the peacemaker on here.
Cerbera's thread is 'cleaned up' aka censored by PASOTI mods.
Greenjock's hotmail address, posted by 'Porkie', is victim to an attempted hacking.
The world continues spinning, people carry on living their lives, posters on here continue to have free debate, PASOTI continues to be an extension to the official site, people's entrenched feelings towards an abusive, untrustworthy egomaniac get ever stronger as he tries to worm his way into a position of status at Home Park.

Nothing exciting

Proper job that. Thanks.

But "gangland tussles"? You couldn't make it up.

Biter bit.

The Doctor wrote:
I'm not going to get drawn into the specifics here but I think some people don't understand the concept of ownership. When someone owns something it is theirs to use as they wish (within the law) and theirs to share with others. If the owner of a website wants to break the rules of their site then they can; if the owner of a website wants to stop others using it then they can; if the owner of a website wants to control how others use it then they can. Why? Because they own it and everyone else doesn't.

The Grumpy Loyal wrote:

Sadly you're right of course Doc. The thing is, since 1996 Pasoti was owned by a benign fan who never got involved in anything remotely controversial.

That has changed massively now.

I remember saying to Ian many years ago after Mod-Idol that I thought he'd make a crap moderator because he has very strong opinions and enjoys airing them. He's since pretty much admitted to his moderating shortcomings, I think.

With him now officially owning the gaff, it's made the situation far worse. When I say far worse, the irony is that I see it as being far worse for him. It is impossible for him to be moderated along the same lines as everyone else. There is quite literally one rule for him and one rule for everyone else now. Regardless of what may be said, a banning offence committed by Ian and ANother would not result in them both being banned. How could it? It'd be rediculous. He owns the place. Any banning would have to be pretty much self-imposed. Farcical really.

This is why whatever his misdemeanors of the past present or future, in real terms he is now untouchable. He owns the site, he picks the Moderators and those Mods who aren't happy with his way are (and have been) shown where the door is. Are new Mods going to be co-opted who won't tow the line? Well no of course not, so you will have a situation as time goes on that pretty much the whole Mod team share Ians way of thinking. Why? Well, because he'll be choosing them of course.

The ultimate question is, does that bode well for the future independence and diversity of opinion on this website?

I'd be truly amazed if anyone could say "yes" to that, with a straight face.

I have to laugh at the "New Pasoti" that Newell was boasting about!

Seriously.... Is that it?

A couple of revolving mural banners that aren't sized right, and so you have to scroll across the page to see the player on the right hand side whose details are missing anyway...

Shoddy work.

Meanwhile, Tringy seems to want to continue all the stupidity with asking people to post stuff on pasoti to stir what seems to be a settling pot. scratch

This post (earlier in the thread) has quite a presidential feel to it Laughing

Once we start the new season and get a few wins going the whole atmosphere will change. We're all down in the dumps due to such a long period of crap results and the moaning flows easily. In a years time we'll be hovering around the play off's (okay that's a bit optimistic) and the world will seem a happier place. Or not. Who knows? Let's just hope when we do start moving up again we have learned our lessons.
I'm a Pasoti poster (Terraces only) but the whole feel of the place is really unstable. I'm sure when the new season kicks off things will change, but it's going to be a long summer. Hopefully a hot one.
