bloody awful (probabale understatement)

My other half's grandmother was one of the first doctors into Belsen. She never talked about it - it was still too raw, even when she was 90.

Even after all these years, reading real life accounts of what went on (http://holocaustlearning.org/survivors ) is still the most disturbing, gut-wrenching and upsetting things I have ever read.

It's almost unfathomable to think to a human being could do this to another.
