Plenty to comment on here: http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/jan/26/standard-liege-fans-stadium-ban-defour-banner?CMP=share_btn_tw (the short video really is worth a look).

What caught my eye was the first goal. It is a mirrored carbon copy of the goal Garry Nelson scored at Blackpool to earn us a 1-1 draw many years ago.

That Blackpool match was one of those games where you seem to be playing the referee as well as the other team and, an extremely dodgy penalty for handball given against Gerry Mac included, the ref barely gave us throw-in in the entire game. When Nelson scored the away end went absolutely batshit crazy - and it already had been quite lively previously - one of the great away days amongst many in Dave Smith's promotion season. We'll never see the like again which is probably both sad and just as well.

Having gone straight from Union St to the coach was ill prepared for the snow on the Prom.

Luckily we were in the side paddock under low roof rather than the open end terrace.
