Passed away this week. He appointed Dave Smith in the early days of his chairmanship and this led to some of the best years that Argyle fans of my era have experienced-promotion, the narrow failure to reach the play offs, the signing of players such as Tynan, Mark Smith and Marker, a decent cup run or two. In the end, like so many Argyle directors over the years, the inability to finish the job proved to be his Nemesis but he was one of the better ones notwithstanding that. Came from the family that ran John Conway, Louis Boutique, Jaycee etc in town, his brother Michael was very much involved with the Louis Boutique Sunday team, they used to play against my fathers team in the WDSL and were outstandingly good at the level. RIP Peter.

I remember my first years as an Argyle fan were under his Chairmanship.
Great club to follow under Dave Smith playing good football in a nostalgic stadium without corrupt nests of vipers like Pasoti and the shysters and hangers on we have now indoctrinated into the fabric of the club like Lice.
RIP Mr Bloom.
