BURTON Albion have had more than 50 applications for the vacant manager's job at the Pirelli Stadium.

The Brewers are looking for a new boss after Gary Rowett departed for struggling Championship big boys Birmingham City.

"We've had more than 50 applicants and obviously we're looking through them all now," said Albion chairman Ben Robinson.

"That includes a number of managers who are currently in work.

They have a nice little setup there so its bound to attract a few to it. I wonder if Sturrock fancies it he would be ideal for them and it gives him one last dance.

i thought i saw sturrock there on saturday, was from a distance and my eyesight is fecked. could have been porkstar for all i know
