With all those Akkeron hotels going into admin last year it does make you seriously wonder what state Brent's finances are in, and following that, what the future holds for Argyle. Haven't seen anything about Pavillions being taken off JB. Spoke to someone who works there last month and they said it was business as usual after being TUPE'd across to his company Five Directions Ltd and no-one had mentioned the redevelopment upgrade . The Civic Centre scheme with new Arts centre actually looked like a good idea, but I don't know how anyone could gain funding for it without the outstanding structural survey and asbestos report. Hopefully they'll find the place is beyond repair and tell English Heritage to sue them |

Sadly Brent has made himself stronger financially recently, the assets of the club have been stripped and now belong to brent (car park) anybody who does anything to HP will have to pay brent to do it. The football club is actually worth a bit of money now that we the fans have paid all his debts for him (ie buying the club) the ballon payment would probably be covered by the value of the club if sold. Graham Clarke recently wrote a piece on this very subject. the crap hotels have been hived off to burden somebody else and he now owns several profitable hotels, Akkeron is ok. Sad but true. Even if we get somebody else interested in HP Brent will be hard to shift with his prime bit of land. |

| [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Unless I missed a sneaky announcement the Home Park leasehold hasn't been transferred to JB yet and he only owns the area shown in blue. If you only wanted to build a grandstand there is room to do it and locate the Ice Rink elsewhere. |

| Mmmm.. I agree in principle GG but to do the job properly you need Brenties bit of land, apart from anything else the directors and players need to be able to park and get into the grandstand area without walking through the proles, heaven forefend! |

| Without planning permission JB & co's patch has little worth other than as a car park so could be an interesting standoff, especially if PCC find alternative plot for the Ice Rink.
The HHP planning approval was based on a number of conditions being released, none of which including contentious Outland rd junction and concourse access road have been resolved. |

| Move along nothing to see. In response to being told that 11 of Brent's 27 companies are listed as having "serious adverse information" - Olliergyle9 wrote:
- Doesn't JB have a reputation for turning struggling businesses around? That was certainly his plan with Argyle. As a result I'd have thought a lot of the businesses he's involved with would be in some sort of financial difficulty until he'd got to work turning them around.

| When you analyse it, Brent & PCC have tied up the club like a kipper - I suspect PCC are slightly less to blame as they were obviously spun a good yarn under the pressure of our admin. The land issue could easily turn into a mexican stand off, at that point I would imagine Brent wants out but could get really sticky - bad do all round unless some rich guy wants in!! |

| Longwellgreen wrote; Expect the council to get involved in the grandstand and HHP to cease as an option imminently....
IJN wrote; That's certainly been the chatter from loose lipped PCC people for the last three weeks or so.
Whatever it is, let us hope it benefits PAFC and us poor old supporters.
Longwellgreen wrote; Agreed, hopefully the grandstand may be slightly more grand, the council get the land back, we can return to being a football club first and foremost.
Seem fair?
IJN wrote; Very fair to me.
It would appear that Akkeron and JB have had their plans dashed by circumstances and whatever you think of that, our club could be the beneficiary.
I loved the ground with the two buildings though and that coupled with a full two tier would have made me and I think a few others very happy.
Onwards and upwards hopefully and let's hope the 'experts' on this can now discuss 343 rather than the ft2 of a plan of Central Park! |

May I ask if there are more than one fat women you are committed to? Is the commitment down to their size and how far does this commitment go? Do you not committ to average or slim women? As always more questions than answers. |
