| Victory over exeter the minimum requirement for any argyle manager. 3 nil a decent win to crush exeter.
We hate exeter, we hate exeter !!!!!! |

| Lets see how we fare agaist Stevenage and Bury before we start cracking one off about how we are going to win the league. One swallow dosnt make a summer as we have seen a gazillion times before. |

| Coming together nicely Good result in the "big one" three points is what we needed, lets hope we can do the same against good fourth division teams, not just dogshit ones like Xter. |

| That 1st half performance was as good as I've seen us play since we were flying towards the CCC 10 years ago. 2nd half we weren't quite as good and excretia upped their game but we did more than enough and on another day could've scored 6 or 7, In fairness though they could've scored a couple in the 2nd half. Great all round team performance, standouts for me were: Reid.....immense Harvey.....very good Alessandra and Banton.....good Norburn.....good Nelson and Hartley.....very good McCormick.....good when tested Even McHugh who's been given terrible reviews so far did OK Mellor and O'Connor did OK 3-0, We beat the scum 3-0, We beat the scum 3-0, We beat the scum 3-0 |

| Very impressive.Argyle cut through City almost at will in the first half and some of the football was pretty breathtaking.Excellent free kick from Harvey [although from my angle it looked as though the keeper could have done better] and well crafted goal for Roooben gave Argyle a more than merited HT 2-0 lead.City were essentially restricted to long range efforts in the first half and although they had more of the game after HT [Sercombe very influential],it was really the same story, can't remember McCormick having to make more than a couple of saves.Argyle even in the second half had much the better chances on the break,i suppose the only criticism today was that City should really have been buried long before Nelson [who had a cracking game] pounced on a loose ball after the keeper dropped a cross.Well impressed with Norburn in midfield,he should have been MOM IMHO rather than Harvey but it was a really good team performance when all is said and done.I agree with others who say that one swallow doesn't make a summer and it was difficult to judge how bad City were but there did seem to be something different from previous seasons about Argyle today, much more composure and confidence on the ball-the set pieces were better as well.It may well be a sterner test on Tuesday but Argyle did look good today and it will be very interesting to see how it pans out over the next few weeks. |
